Obituary:  Pioneer (PEI), 1936:  Alfred Pitre - The death occurred at Bloomfield on Feb. 17 of Alfred Pitre, a highly respected resident of that place.  The deceased had been in his usual health, but on Saturday, Feb. 8th, he was seized with pneumonia from which he failed to rally.  The late Mr. Pitre was born at Bloomfield 63 years ago.  He was a life long resident of that community, a man of genial good nature and had a smile and kind word for everybody.  He leaves to mourn his widow (nee Melanie Martin) five daughters and four sons, Mrs. Anthony Perry, Fortune Cove; Mrs. Tilman Arsenault, Mrs. Peter Arsenault, Mrs. Denis Bernard, Carolyn, all of Massachusetts, and Raymond, Martin, Francis and Paul on the homestead; also one brother, Leon of Bloomfield; three sisters, Mrs. Bruno Doiron, North Rustico; Mrs. Moses Doiron and Mrs. Mary Stewart of Massachusetts.  The funeral service was conducted by Rev. J.A. Gaudet at St. Anthony's Church and Cemetery.  The pall bearers were Messrs. Bruno Doiron, Prosper Gallant, Bernard Saunders, Fidele Peters, Alban Craswell and John Gallant.

Obituary:  Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), 23 April 1956:  Sympathy goes out to the family of Mrs. Alfred Peters whose death occurred in Wakefield, Mass., on Friday, March 2nd.  The late Mrs. Peters had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Tilman Arsenault of Malden, Mass., for the past few years.

Bernard.  Devoted mother of Joseph M. Bernard and his wife Louise of Revere, Marilyn A. Doucet and her husband George of Malden, Janet M. Pouche and her husband Ernie of N. Reading, James O. Bernard and his wife Karen of Lynnfield and Robert P. Bernard and his wife Natalie of Revere.  Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend the funeral from the Frank A. Welsh & Son's Funeral Home, Chelsea on Tuesday, February 19, at 9:30 A.M.  Followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Revere, at 10:30 A.M.  Services will conclude with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  Visiting hours will be held at the Welsh Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8 P.M.  Should friends desire contributions in her memory may be made to Partners Hospice, Waltham, MA

Cavanaugh & Son Funeral Home on Monday morning at 8:45.  Funeral Mass at St. Thomas Church at 10 AM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday from 4-8 PM.  Interment will take place in the family lot at Wildwood Cemetery in Wilmington, MA.  Memorial donations in his name may be made to the Children's Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.
