Obituary:  Daily World (Opelousas, LA), Tuesday, 28 March 1967:  Ville Platte - Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:20 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Mrs. Jack Pitre, 76, who died at the Ville Platte Medical Center at 4:45 p.m. Friday.  The former Amanda Fontenot, she is survived by two sons, Anzy and Odea Pitre of Ville Platte, one brother, Oday Fontenot, Ville Platte, and two sisters, Mrs. Chick Veillon, Ville Platte, and Mrs. Lorman Monier, of Eunice, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild.  Burial was in the old cemetery, directed by Ardoin Funeral Home.

Theophile Anzy Pitre:  The Ville Platte Gazette (Ville Platte, LA), Thursday, 8 January 1976:  Anzy Pitre, 66, Dies Suddenly; Rites Thursday:  Funeral services were held from the chapel of Ardoin's Funeral Home for Anzy Pitre, 66, who died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at his residence following an apparent heart attack.  Burial was in the old Ville Platte cemetery under the direction of Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte.  Survivors include his wife, the former Agnes Guillory of Ville Platte; one son, Grady Pitre of Ville Platte; one daughter, Mrs. Tommy Holstin of Baton Rouge; one brother, Odeah Pitre of Ville Platte; and two grandchildren.

Odea Pitre:  Daily World (Opelousas, LA), Monday, 18 January 1993:  Ville Platte - Funeral services for Mr. Odea Pitre, 75, were to be held at 10:30 a.m. today in Sacred Heart Catholic Church here with burial in Gates of Heaven Cemetery.  Mr. Pitre, a resident of Ville Platte, died at 10 p.m. Saturday in Humana Hospital in Ville Platte.  Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Hilda Tate Pitre of Ville Platte; a daughter, Mrs. William (Veronica) Miller of Monroe; and a granddaughter.  Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte was in charge of arrangements.
