Obituary: Daily World (Opelousas, LA), Monday, 18 January 1993: Ville Platte - Funeral services for Mr. Odea Pitre, 75, were to be held at 10:30 a.m. today in Sacred Heart Catholic Church here with burial in Gates of Heaven Cemetery. Mr. Pitre, a resident of Ville Platte, died at 10 p.m. Saturday in Humana Hospital in Ville Platte. Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Hilda Tate Pitre of Ville Platte; a daughter, Mrs. William (Veronica) Miller of Monroe; and a granddaughter. Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte was in charge of arrangements.

Pitre, 79, with burial following in Gates of Heaven Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte. Mrs. Pitre, a resident of Ville Platte, died at 9 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital, after a long illness. Mrs. Pitre was a housewife. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. William 'Veronica' Miller of Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Dow Borland and Mrs. Earnie Shoalmire, both of Natchez, Mississippi; and a grandchild.
