Obituary:  The Ville Platte Gazette (Ville Platte, LA), Thursday, 8 January 1976:  Anzy Pitre, 66, Dies Suddenly; Rites Thursday:  Funeral services were held from the chapel of Ardoin's Funeral Home for Anzy Pitre, 66, who died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at his residence following an apparent heart attack.  Burial was in the old Ville Platte cemetery under the direction of Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte.  Survivors include his wife, the former Agnes Guillory of Ville Platte; one son, Grady Pitre of Ville Platte; one daughter, Mrs. Tommy Holstin of Baton Rouge; one brother, Odeah Pitre of Ville Platte; and two grandchildren.

Obituary:  Daily World (Opelousas, LA), Monday, 4 April 1994:  Ville Platte - Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Guillory Pitre, 77, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church here with burial in the old Ville Platte Cemetery.  Mrs. Pitre, a resident of Ville Platte, died at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 3, in Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge.  Survivors include: a son, Grady Pitre of Ville Platte; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Betty) Holstein of Baton Rouge; a brother, Zeanus Guillory of Ville Platte; and five grandchildren.  Visiting hours are from 1-9 p.m. today and from 7 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.  A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.  Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte is in charge of arrangements.
