Gertie Pitre:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Monday, 16 August 1993:  Gertie Pitre Mayo of Marrero, LA on Saturday, August 14, 1993 at 10:30 pm.  Beloved wife of the late Jules Mayo.  Mother of Mrs. Beverly LeBlanc.  Daughter of the late Eve Orgeron Pitre and Octave Pitre.  Sister of Gladys Roger, Urley Pitre and the late Mae Farrington, Hurley Pitre, Louis Plaisance and Forrest Plaisance.  Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  Age 83 years.  A native of Larose, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA for the past 42 years.  Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Jefferson Parish School Board and M-Tec/Riso. Inc are invited to attend funeral services from Mothe Funeral Homes, Inc, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, August 17, 1993 at 9:00 am.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church.  Interment Westlawn Memorial Park.  Parlors will be open Monday, August 16, 1993 from 6:00 pm until 11:00 pm.

Gladys Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), July 2003:  Gladys Pitre Roger, 91, a native of Gros Tete and resident of Raceland, died at 4:40 p.m. July 27, 2003.  Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland and from 8 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church in Mathews.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial at Resurrection Memorial Park in Mathews.  She is survived by her sons, Harold and Carol Roger; daughters, Laura Mae Leonard, Loretta Adams, Barbara Monaghan and Judy Bourg; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Roger Sr.; parents, Octave and Eve Orgeron Pitre; sons, Roland, Sidney Jr. and Peter Roger; brothers, Hurley and Irvy Pitre; and sister, Gertie Mayo.  She was an active member of the Raceland Senior Citizens, a retired cook for Lafourche Parish School Board and a member of the St. Hilary Council of Catholic Women.

Hurley Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), September 1995:  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Catholic Church in Thibodaux for Hurley J. Pitre, 81, a native of Raceland and resident of Thibodaux, who died Sunday, Sept. 24 (1995).  Visitation will be 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Landry's Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the church Cemetery.  He was the husband of Agnes Clement; father of Janise Molaison; brother of Gladys Rogers.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Octave and Eva Guidry Pitre; a brother, Irvy Pitre; and a sister, Gertie Mayo.  Landry's Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.


Irvy Pitre:  Houma Courier (LA), Monday, 20 July 1981:  Funeral services were scheduled for 9:30 a.m. today at Landry Funeral Home for Irvy A. "Pete" Pitre, 65, who died at 12:40 a.m. Saturday.  Religious services were scheduled for at 10 a.m. today at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.  He was the husband of the late Marie Doucet; father of Norma Trosclair; brother of Herly Pitre, Mrs. Sidney Roger and Mrs. Jules Mayo.


Waldine Marie 'Eula Mae' Pitre:  San Antonio Light (TX), Friday, 24 April 1959:  Mrs. Waldine Marie Lateano, age 40, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away in a local hospital April 22.  Survivors: Husband, Major Guy Lateano; daughter, Louise Lateano both of Fort Worth; mother, Gertrude Pitre; father, Octave Pitre; brothers, Jerry and Otis Pitre all of Houma, Louisiana.  Remains being shipped to Houma, La., for services and interment.  Arrangements by Hanavan-McClaugherty

Jerry John Pitre:  Houma Courier (LA):  Jerry John Pitre, 64, a native of Donner and a resident of Houma, died at 12:55 p.m. Saturday (April 14, 1990).  Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at the Chauvin Funeral Home.  A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial following in the church cemetery.  He is survived by his wife, Marilyn St. Pierre Pitre; three sons, Glenn Pitre of Houma, Wade Pitre of Bourg, and Richard Pitre of Kissimee, Fla.; a daughter, Jeanie Pitre of Houma and six grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Octave and Gertrude B. Pitre; a son, Craig Pitre; a brother, Ottis Pitre and a sister, Waldine Lateano.  He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  Chauvin Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
