Misc.:  Beaumont Enterprise (Beaumont, TX), Monday, 19 January 1920:  Port Arthur, Texas, Jan. 18 - Following a safety-first hunch last Friday saved Morris Pitre several hundred dollars.  He had for some time carried about with him a roll of over six hundred dollars, carelessly leaving the money in his pocket at night.  Friday he deposited $600 of it, reserving $25 for pocket change, and Saturday night a thief entered his room, rifled the trousers and relieved him of something over $20.  Mr. Pitre rooms with his brother, Simon Pitre, at 914 Austin avenue.  The prowler gained entrance by removing a screen from one of the windows.  That nothing else was taken indicates, in the opinion of the police, that the thief was one who had seen Mr. Pitre's large fat roll before the hunch struck him.
