Obituary:  The Town Talk (Alexandria, LA), Sunday, 31 August 1980:  Graveside services for Augustine J. Pitre of Port Arthur, Texas, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Alexandria Memorial Gardens.  Burial will be under direction of John Kramer & Son.  Pitre, 83, died at 5:10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur.  Survivors include his wife, Pearl Dyer Pitre of Port Arthur.

Obituary:  Beaumont Journal (TX), Friday, 26 December 1980:  Port Arthur - Funeral for Pearl Dyer Pitre, 78, of 2409 Duff Dr. was to be at 2 p.m. today at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home.  Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Alexandria Gardens in Alexandria, La.  She died at 6 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital after an illness.  A native of Cheneyville, La., she had lived in Port Arthur 58 years.  Survivors include a sister, Inez D. Atkins of Alexandria; three brothers, Wilbur Dyer of Cheneyville, Allen B. Dyer of Baton Rouge and James W. Dyer of LeCompte, La.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
