Obituary: Funeral services for Simon Pitre, aged 48 years, who died early Saturday morning at his residence, ... East Nineteenth, will be held Monday at 1 p.m. from St. Mary's Catholic church. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn cemetery at Beaumont. Pitre, who had resided in Port Arthur for 12 years, was an employee of the Texas company. Surviving are his widow, three sons, Wesley, R.A., and Walter, all of Port Arthur; three brothers, A.J., C.F., Jr., and Morris, all of this city; and seven sisters, who are Mrs. J. O. Bodin, Mrs. A. B...eron and Mrs. Paul Boden, all of Ashton, La., and Mrs. D. Hebert, Mrs. L. Smi..., Mrs. G. Prevost, and Mrs. Paul Gautreaux, all of Port Arthur.

Misc.: 14 December 1922, Port Arthur News (TX): Find 'Lost' Boys - Reported to the police today as being lost in the territory back of the Texas company since 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, Wesley Pitre, 10-year-old son of Simon Pitre, 834 East Nineteenth Street, and his 12-year-old companion, a boy named Kibbe, walked into Pitre's home shortly before noon today, none the worse for having been out all night, Pitre later told the police.
- Beaumont Enterprise (Beaumont, TX), Sunday, 1 September 1929: Port Arthur, Texas, Aug. 31 - An examining trial for Wesley Pitre 25 on a charge of aggravated assault in connection with an alleged beating administered his mother Mrs. Simon Pitre, 834 Nineteenth street Thursday night will be held probably Monday in J. D. Trusty's justice court. Charges were filed against the man this morning by his mother. The youth spent Thursday night in jail after having been arrested by Pat Barrington night short call officer, he was released yesterday when Mrs. Pitre said she was not going to file charges. She changed her mind later in the day however.

Obituary: Beaumont Journal (TX), Friday, 4 May 1951: Port Arthur, May 4 - Mrs. Angel Pitre, 65, resident of Port Arthur for 35 years, died about 1 a.m. Friday at her home, 834 Nineteenth street, after a long illness. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic church. Burial will follow in Calvary cemetery under direction of Grammier-Oberle mortuary. Mrs. Pitre was a native of St. Mary parish, La. Surviving are two sons, John and W. J. Pitre of Port Arthur; sister, Mrs. Tony Lonsoney of Savannah, Ga. and a brother, George Goulas of Jeanerette, La.

Simon Wesley Pitre: Beaumont Journal (TX), Monday, 13 May 1946: Port Arthur, May 13 - Catholic funeral rites were read for Wesley Pitre, 40, at St. Mary's church Monday morning, followed by burial at Calvary cemetery under direction of Clayton and Thompson funeral home. Pitre was shot three times in the back, once in the upper right arm and once in the right side, in front of a cafe here Saturday night.
