Obituary: The Evening News (Detroit, MI), Saturday, 13 March 1886: Died - Peters, at her residence, 539 Clinton ave., Mrs. Peters, aged 74, widow of the late John B. Peters. Notice of funeral hereafter.
Probate: Petition of John B. Peters, that Philis Peters died Thursday, 11 March 1886, no will. She was resident in Detroit, value of estate $4500 ($1300 being personal estate). Heirs are: Flora Longprey of Echo City, Utah Terr., Helen Longprey of Omaha, Nebraska, Philis Lyons of Detroit, Louis M. Peters of Detroit, James J. Trudell of Detroit, and the petitioner John B. Peters of Detroit (dated 17 March 1886). Recapitulation: $3113 total amount received, less charges of administration & disbursements $2136.73, equal balance in hands of administrator $976.27. Deceased was believed to be the owner of Lot 14 in block 22 east half of P.C. 91 in the James Campau farm in Detroit; reported to the Court and requested sale. At time of sale discovered title was in name of John B. Peters, husband of deceased. Sale of property brought $2000 less mortgage with accrued interest, leaving $1,232. Household effects $150, equally divided amongst heirs. Final account 31 October 1887. Real estate: Lot lying between Larned & Catherine streets (Detroit) - $1700, Lot at Campau farm - $1100. Felicie Pitre: Detroit Free Press (Detroit, MI), Tuesday, 1 September 1914: Mrs. Helen Phillis Lyon, 75 years old, wife of Adolph Lyon, and a resident of Detroit for 65 years, died at her home, 239 Strong avenue, Monday morning. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. George H. Clippert, and two sons, Edward F. and Frank A. Lyon. Funeral services will be held at the residence Thursday morning at 8:15 o'clock and in St. Joachim's church at 9 o'clock. Interment will be in Mt. Elliott cemetery.

L. Longprey. Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be spread on the
records of this union, and a copy forwarded to the family of the deceased, also
