David Pitre:  Detroit Free Press (Detroit, MI), Friday, 13 February 1885:  Died: Peters - In this city, Wednesday, February 11, at 8 p.m., at his late residence, No. 346 Twenty-second st., David Peters, aged 64 years and 11 months.  Funeral Saturday, February 14, from residence at 8 o'clock.  Services from Ste. Anne's Church at 9 o'clock.  Friends of the family invited to attend.  Bay City and Maidstone papers please copy.

 

Justine Pitre:  Bay City Daily Tribune (Bay City, MI), Tuesday, 12 May 1903:  Mrs. Alex. Villaire, 76 years old, who died Saturday.:  Mrs. Alex. Villaire, 76 years old, who died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lucy Demo, Frank street, First ward, will take place from Visitation church this morning.  Interment at St. Patrick's cemetery.  Mrs. Villaire was born in Sandwich, Ont., Dec. 28, 1826.  She was married Aug. 27, 1843, was the mother of eight children, grandmother to 30 children and great-grandmother to 13.  She is survived by two sons, Alex. and David Villaire and two daughters, Theresa, Varnica and Mrs. Lucy Demo.  Her maiden name was Justine Peters.  Canada was her home for 22 years, when she moved to Detroit, where she resided eight years.  In 1872 she was left a widow and came to Bay City to live.  In 1875 she commenced making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Demo, at whose home she died.
