Mary Pitre: L'Impartial (PEI), Thursday, 14 February 1907: Died, at Rogersville, NB, on the 5th of this month, Marie Anne Pitre, formerly of Duvar Road, PEI, wife of Joseph P. Gaudet, at the age of 26 years and 9 months. She received all the spiritual help that the church gives to her children, before her death. It belongs to the society of the Good Death. Her funeral took place on the 7th of the month, in the middle of a great convergence of relatives and friends. The bearers were: Amable Chiasson, Joe Arsenault, Arsene Chiasson, Jude Finighan, Joseph Finighan et Willie Moonie. She leaves to mourn her, a spouse and three children, R.I.P. Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Gaudet and Mr. Jerome Pitre came from Amherst for the funeral.

Dominique Pitre: Evening Express (Portland, ME), Tuesday, 13 July 1937: The funeral for Dominic Peters, 50, also known as Thomas Peters, who died suddenly Monday, will be held from his home, 25 Saco Street, Westbrook, at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. Requiem high mass will be sung at 8 a.m. in St. Hyacinthe Church. Interment will be in St. Hyacinthe Cemetery. A carpenter by trade, Mr. Peters had lived in Westbrook 17 years. He was a native of Prince Edward Island, son of Joseph and Katherine Buotte Peters. Surviving are his wife, Minnie Digou Peters; five children, Percy, Henry, Raymond, Ernest and Marguerite, all of Westbrook; two sisters, Mrs. John Gallant and Mrs. Benjamin Bourgeois, and four brothers, Jerome, Henry, Augustin and Cecil Peters.
