Obituaries for the children:

Ernest Gilbert Petrie:  Journal Tribune (Biddeford, ME), Thursday, 31 July 1941:  Funeral services were conducted at the Notre Dame Church in Springvale Monday at 7:30 a.m. for Gilbert E. Petrie, 64, who died suddenly at his home on Main street, Springvale, Friday.  The Rev. Antonio Girardin officiated at the service.  Mr. Petrie was a native of Chatham, N. B. coming to Springvale several years ago and was employed by the Goodall Worsted Co. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Petrie, a daughter, Miss Lillian Petrie of Springvale; a brother, Clarence Petrie of Berlin, N.H. and a sister, Miss Mary Petrie of Bangor.  Interment was in Notre Dame Cemetery, Springvale.

 

John Maxime Petrie:  The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Saturday, 14 April 1962:  Chatham - The death of John Petrie, a well-known resident of this community occurred at Hotel Dieu Friday after a short illness.  He was 77.  Surviving are six sons, Stafford and Gilbert, Chatham, Ernest, Mosse Jaw, Sask., Herman, Saint John and Alyward and Jack, St. Catherine's Ont.; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Gervais, Montreal, Mrs. Dennis Lewis, Toronto and Mrs. Harry Barry, Chatham; one brother, Clement, Berlin, U.S.A., and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Wedge, Dolbeau, Que.  The funeral will be held Monday at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church with requiem mass at 9 a.m.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.

 

Edward Clement Petrie:  Manchester Union Leader (Manchester, NH), Friday, 25 November 1966:  Berlin - Clement M. Petrie, 80, of 105 Pine St., died yesterday morning in St. Louis Hospital after a long illness.  Born in Chatham, N.B., he lived in Berlin for 55 years, and was a retired employee of Brown Co.  He was a member of the Mt. Forist Methodist Church.  Members of the family include his wife, Mrs. Ellen (MacCosh) Petrie, and a daughter, Mrs. Louise Gillen of the Bronx, N.Y.  Services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at the Parker and Holmes Funeral Home.  Burial will be in City Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon and evening.
