Obituary:  Journal Tribune (Biddeford, ME), Thursday, 31 July 1941:  Funeral services were conducted at the Notre Dame Church in Springvale Monday at 7:30 a.m. for Gilbert E. Petrie, 64, who died suddenly at his home on Main street, Springvale, Friday.  The Rev. Antonio Girardin officiated at the service.  Mr. Petrie was a native of Chatham, N. B. coming to Springvale several years ago and was employed by the Goodall Worsted Co. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Petrie, a daughter, Miss Lillian Petrie of Springvale; a brother, Clarence Petrie of Berlin, N.H. and a sister, Miss Mary Petrie of Bangor.  Interment was in Notre Dame Cemetery, Springvale.

Obituary:  Journal Tribune (Biddeford, ME), Thursday, 28 April 1966:  Mrs. Emily Arsenault Petrie, 83, died Saturday morning at her home on Upper Oak street, Springvale.  Born at Chatham, N. B., on July 26, 1882, she was the daughter of John J. and Victoria Vienneau Arsenault.  Mrs. Petrie was a skiver at the Allied Novelty Shoe Company and a communicant of Notre Dame Church.

 

Obituary for the daughter:

Lillian Mary Petrie:  Journal Tribune (Biddeford, ME), Friday, 12 June 1981:  New Portland - Lillian M. Poulin, 66, died Wednesday at Maine Medical Center, Portland after a long illness.  She was born in Sanford, June 8, 1915.  She attended Sanford schools.  She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Farmington, and was a member of the New Portland Grange.  She was owner and operator of the New Portland Ceramics and Souvenir Store.  Surviving are her husband, Jethro Poulin Sr. of New Portland; three sons, Roger Poulin of Farmington, Richard Poulin of New Portland, and Jethro Poulin Jr. of Farmington; two daughters, Doris Arsenault of Madison, and Sheila Shea of New Portland; 36 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church, Farmington.  Interment will be in Poulin Cemetery, New Portland.  Calling hours will be Saturday and Sunday from 2-9 p.m. at her former residence on Route 27, New Portland.  Arrangements are being made by Adams Funeral Home, Farmington.
