Obituary:  The Gazette (Montreal, Quebec), Friday, 22 April 1977:  Ephraim Lashambe.  At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Thursday, April 21, 1977.  Ephraim Lashambe, beloved husband of Margaret Magee and dear father of Lorraine Preston and Elaine Hadley, of New York.  Visitation at Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Directors, Lachine.  Funeral service from the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord, on Saturday, at 10 a.m.  Interment Field of Honour, Pointe Claire.

Obituaries for the children:

Aline Nora Lajambe:  The Herald Statesman (Yonkers, NY), Wednesday, 30 July 1997:  Elaine N. Hadley, a former Peekskill resident, died Sunday, July 27, 1997, at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh, N.Y.  She was 73.  She was born on Sept. 23, 1923, to Ephraim J. and Margaret McGee Lashambe in Montreal, Canada, where she was raised and educated.  On May 5, 1944, she married Harry E. Hadley in Montreal.  He died in 1987.  The couple moved to Peekskill in 1965.  For the past seven years, she has lived at the Hedgewood Adult Home in Beacon, N.Y.  For about 10 years, she worked as a secretary at Peekskill Community Hospital, retiring in 1970.  Mrs. Hadley was an entertainer for the Red Cross/USO in Montreal in the 1940s.  She is survived by a son, Richard K. Hadley of Hopewell Junction, N.Y.; a daughter, Elissa Conklin of Fishkill, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.  A sister, Lorraine Prestone, died earlier.  Arrangements are by Robert Auchmoody Funeral Homes, Inc., in Fishkill.  A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today at Church of the Resurrection in Hopewell Junction.
