Obituary:  Island Patriot (PEI), October 1912:  Bloomfield Station mourns the death of an old and respected resident in the person of the late Mr. Fabian Peters, who peacefully passed away in his sixty-fourth year, on Sunday morning, October 20th, after an illness of over a year, which he bore with great patience and resignation.  Although it was known for some time that the end was near still it came as a severe shock to his family and friends.  During his illness he was often visited by his pastor the Rev. F.X. Gallant, and he died fortified by the last rites of the Catholic Church.  Deceased was a prominent member of the C.M.B.A. society, and an honorable and upright man, loved by a wide circle of friends, and esteemed by all who knew him.  By strenuous labors he hewed out for himself and family a very comfortable farm and home and for the long period of twenty-seven years he filled the position of Postmaster in a most efficient and capable manner.  His practical faith, admirable cheerfulness, and christian charity won for him the respect of his non Catholic neighbors.  Surviving him are his bereaved widow, one daughter and seven sons, viz: - Mrs. James Purcell of Waltham, Mass; Stanley, Augustus and Joseph in Western Canada; Harvey in New York; Benjamin in Lawrence, Mass; and Paul and Allie at home.  The funeral took place on Tuesday, October 22nd, to St. Anthony's Church, Bloomfield, and was largely attended.
