Obituaries for the children:

Alzenia Pitre:   The Dequincy News (Dequincy, LA), Friday, 21 September 1951:  As we go to press, Thursday, funeral services are scheduled for 4 o'clock for Mrs. L. A. Marcantel, 69. Mrs. Marcantel died Thursday morning at the DeQuincy hospital, following a short illness.  The Rev. Abb Marcantel and the Rev. Edgar Marcantel will officiate at the home of Jim Marcantel.  Burial will be in Rigmaiden cemetery under the direction of Snider funeral home.  Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Eddie Berry and Mrs. Frank Kingrey; five sons, Jim, Frank, Mid, Eddie and Lucius Marcantel.  Thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.

Lezime Eusebe Pitre:  The Town Talk (Alexandria, LA), Thursday, 21 August 1958:  Kinder, La. - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today for Lizim Pitre, 73, who died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at his residence in Kinder.  Services will be held from the First Pentecostal church with Rev. B.L. Park officiating.  Burial will be in Green Oak cemetery under direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.  Survivors include his widow; four sons, Wilson of Kinder, George and Hardy of Lake Charles, and Wesley of Oberlin; two daughters, Mrs. Abraham Fontenot of Kings Farm and Mrs. Dempsey Fontenot of Lake Charles; one brother, Saul P. Pitre of Lake Charles; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

 

Solomon 'Saul' Pitre:  Beaumont Journal (TX), Saturday, 28 March 1959:  Lake Charles - The body of Saul Pitre, 70, of Moss Bluff was found at his home Friday night when a grandson, Norman Pitre, went to the house to see Mr. Pitre.  A shotgun lay on the floor beside him, the acting parish coroner, Dr. Fritz LaCour, said.  Funeral services will be arranged by Ardoin Funeral Home in Kinder, with burial at Green Oak Cemetery there.  Surviving Mr. Pitre are: Six children, Mrs. Sidney Burnett of Moss Bluff, Earl and David Pitre of Kinder, Mrs. David Landreneau, Mrs. Pete Courville and Emerson Pitre of Lake Charles; 18 other grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
