Peters, 58, of 8 Alarie St., West Roxbury, agencies sales director for the Boston Mutual Life Insurance Co., will be held today with a 9 a.m. mass at St. Theresa's Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury. Mr. Peters, who died Thursday at his home, was born in Prince Edward Island. He entered the insurance business in the Boston Mutual in 1923, as a field man. He subsequently served as assistant manager in Salem and as district manager in Pawtucket, R.I. Prior to becoming agencies sales director, in 1954, he was assistant superintendent of agencies. He was a member of the Holy Name Society. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Winifred Welch Peters; a daughter, Mrs. Francis Gorham of Portland; a son, James G. of Quincy; two brothers, Edwin and Victor, both of Prince Edward Island; and four sisters, Mrs. Adeline Fisher, Mrs. Zetta McDonald and Mrs. Geraldine McDonnell, all of West Roxbury, and Sister St. Wenceslaus of Chicago.
