Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at The University of Ottawa Heart
Institute, Ottawa, Ontario on Saturday, November 4th, 2006 of Mrs. Adeline M.
Ledwell (nee Peters) of Prince Street, Charlottetown aged 72 years.
Wife of the late William A. Ledwell. She is survived by her
children and their spouses; Mark, and Monica Driscoll; Mary, and Steve
Billinton; John, and Nancy Dion; Paul, and Shelia Morrison; and Andrea.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Lauren, Kathryn and Corey; her
sisters Ramona Doucette, Edie Jefferson and Flora Feldman; her brothers
and sisters-in-law, Peter Rafferty, Bob Feldman, Frank and Carolyn Ledwell,
Mary and John MacKinnon, Tom Ledwell and Darlene Craig; and her many nieces
and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Edwin and Catherine
(MacDonald) Peters, her sister Kaye Rafferty and her brother Fred.
Resting at The Hennessey Funeral Home until 1:45 Thursday afternoon then
transferred to The Church of The Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 2 p.m.
Interment to follow in the family plot at The Roman Catholic Cemetery. In
lieu of flowers and if so desired memorials in Mrs. Ledwell’s memory can be made
to St. Jean Elementary School Breakfast Program. Visiting hours at the
funeral home on Wednesday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Members of The Holy
Redeemer Parish St. Vincent de Paul Society will hold a prayer service at the
funeral home on Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m.
