Harris Louis Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), 5 October 1998:  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Harris Louis Pitre, 85, a native and resident of Cut Off, who died at 3:30 a.m. Oct 3,1998.  Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until funeral time at the church.  Burial will be at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.  He was the father of Larry Pitre, Lois Pitre, Joyce P. Trosclair, Dolores P. Orgeron and Rose Terrebonne; and the companion of Carol Olson.  He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Liza Adams Pitre; son, Roy Pitre; daughter, Juliet Chiasson; brothers, Fedless, Edless, Loveless and Orleans Pitre; and sisters, Francis, Taya and Edolia Pitre.  Falgout Funeral Homes, Inc. of Galliano is in charge of arrangements.
