Visitation will be until funeral time today at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. Burial will be in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. She was the mother of Clifton and Jefferson Pitre, Elvida P. Dufrene, Willa Mae P. Duet and Nola P. Bruce; half sister of Walter Doucet, Marzie D. Plaisance and Loucille D. Griffin. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fedless Pitre; parents, Auguistin and Evelida Smith Doucet; a half-brother, Wallace Doucet; and three sisters, Regina D. Theriot, Augusta D. He is survived by children, Nelly (Ted) Dufrene, Rose (David) Griffin, Chris (Alison) and David (Pam) Pitre; sisters, Elvida Dufrene, Willie Mae Duet and Nola Bruce; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora P. Pitre; parents, Fedless and Loridia Doucet Pitre; and brother, Clifton J. Pitre. Mr. Pitre was a lifelong commercial fisherman and avid hunter. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Golden Meadow, a member of Lafourche Lodge 427, Jerusalem Shriners and the board of Cheramie Cemetery. He is buried at Cheramie Cemetery.
