Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), 16 September 1956 - At St. Joseph's hospital, Thibodaux, La., on Saturday, September 15, 1956, at 3:15 o'clock p.m., Fedless Pitre, beloved husband of Loridia Doucet; father of Clifton and Jefferson Pitre and Mrs. Junius Dufrene, Mrs. Morrison Duet and Mrs. Paul Bruce; son of David Pitre and Liza Adams; also survived by 13 grandchildren; aged 53 years, a native and a resident of Cut Off, La.  Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Humble Party No. 21, are invited to attend the funeral, which will take place from the Falgout Funeral Homes, Inc., Galliano, La., on Monday, September 17, 1956, at 4 o'clock p.m.  Religious services at St. Joseph Catholic church, Galliano, La.  Interment in Cheramie cemetery.  Falgout Funeral Homes, Inc., Galliano, La., in charge.

Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA): A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano for Loridia Doucet Pitre, 89, a native of Galliano and resident of Cut Off, who died at 7:34 a.m. Wednesday, June 8 (1994).  Visitation will be until funeral time today at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano.  Burial will be in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.  She was the mother of Clifton and Jefferson Pitre, Elvida P. Dufrene, Willa Mae P. Duet and Nola P. Bruce; half sister of Walter Doucet, Marzie D. Plaisance and Loucille D. Griffin.  She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Fedless Pitre; parents, Auguistin and Evelida Smith Doucet; a half-brother, Wallace Doucet; and three sisters, Regina D. Theriot, Augusta D. Martin and Natalie D. Chouest.  Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano is in charge of arrangements.

Elvida Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet:  Elvida Pitre Dufrene, 86, a native and resident of Cut Off, died Monday, Aug. 16, 2010.  Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.  She is survived by one son, Robert Dufrene and wife, Carolyn; one daughter, Louise D. Terrebonne and husband, Willard; one sister, Nola P. Bruce; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Junius Dufrene; her parents, Fedless and Loridia Doucet Pitre; two sons, Roy Dufrene and Jimmy Dufrene Sr.; two brothers, Clifton "Cliff" Pitre and Jefferson "Jeff" Pitre; one sister, Willie Mae Duet; and two great-grandchildren.  Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.

Willie Mae Pitre:  Houma Courier (LA), Tuesday, 15 June 2010:  Willie Mae Pitre Duet, 85, a native and resident of Galliano, died at 6:07 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2010.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off.  Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.  She is survived by three sons, Harold J. Duet, Charles J. Duet and Peter J. Duet; three daughters, Sharon D. Cheramie, Shelly Duet and Millie A. Duet; two sisters, Evida Dufrene and Nola Bruce; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Morrison P. Duet; her parents, Fedless and Loridia Doucet Pitre; and two brothers, Jefferson "Jeff" Pitre and Clifton Pitre.  She was Catholic.  Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.

Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Clifton Joseph Pitre, 69, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Cut Off, who died at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 1997.  Visitation will be 5 to 10 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano.  Burial will be in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.  He was the husband of Vergis Angelette Pitre; father of Tommy D. and Anthony Pitre, Mary Evans and Charlotte Desormeaux; brother of Jefferson Pitre, Elvida Dufrene, Willie Mae Duet and Nola Bruce.  He is also survived by seven grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Fedless and Loridia Doucet Pitre.  Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano is in charge of arrangements.

Jefferson Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet, Thursday, 24 December 2009:  Jefferson Pitre, 79, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died Friday, Dec. 11, 2009.  He is survived by children, Nelly (Ted) Dufrene, Rose (David) Griffin, Chris (Alison) and David (Pam) Pitre; sisters, Elvida Dufrene, Willie Mae Duet and Nola Bruce; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora P. Pitre; parents, Fedless and Loridia Doucet Pitre; and brother, Clifton J. Pitre.  Mr. Pitre was a lifelong commercial fisherman and avid hunter.  He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Golden Meadow, a member of Lafourche Lodge 427, Jerusalem Shriners and the board of Cheramie Cemetery.  He is buried at Cheramie Cemetery.
