Marie Armelise Pitre:  New Orleans States (New Orleans, LA), Friday, 21 March 1952:  Detiveaux - In Houma, La., on Wednesday, March 19, 1952, at 2:45 o'clock p.m., Mrs. Amelise Petrie, wife of the late Ernest Detiveaux; mother of Mrs. Edward LeBlanc, Mrs. Eli Theriot, Mrs. Berwick Oliver and Mrs. Joseph Blanchard, Camille and Ernest Detiveaux; sister of Alex Petrie and Mrs. Elodie Breaux; survived by 36 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren; aged 81 years; a native of Bourg, La., and a resident of Houma for the last 5 years.  The funeral took place on Thursday, March 20, 1952, from the Chauvin Funeral Home, Houma, La.  Interment in St. Ann's cemetery, Bourg, La.

 

Jean Baptiste 'Janviere' Pitre:  New Orleans Item (New Orleans, LA), Wednesday, 4 February 1942:  Janvier Pitre, 64, of Little Caillou, was buried in St. Elie cemetery following services at Our Lady of Prompt Succor church, Little Caillou.  He was a prominent farmer of his community.  Surviving are his widow and one son, Felician.

 

Marie Elodie Pitre:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), 12 April 1982:  Elodie Pitre Breaux, on Friday, April 9, 1982, at 12:20 p.m., beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Breaux, mother of Irvin J. Breaux Sr., grandmother of Patricia Ann Sicard, Irvin J. Jr., and Donna M. Breaux and the late Michelle M. Breaux; also survived by 3 great-grandchildren; age 103 years.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from McMahon-Coburn-Briede Funeral Home, 600 Moss St., on Monday morning, April 12, 1982 at 9 o'clock followed by Mass of Christian Burial at the funeral home.  Interment St. Patrick Cemetery No. 1.  Friends may call on Sunday after 7 p.m.

 

Noel Alexandre Pitre:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), 23 December 1963:  On Saturday, December 21, 1963, at 4:00 o'clock a.m., Alexander Noel Pitre, husband of the late Mae Cecilia Winslow; brother of Mrs. Elodie Breaux, the late Mrs. Armelise Detiveaux, Mrs. Emilie Babin, Jean Baptiste and Paul Pitre.  Age 79 years, a native of Terrebonne Parish, and a resident of New Orleans for the past 17 years.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from the auxiliary funeral home of Jacob Schoen and Son Inc., 3827 Canal St. at N. Scott on Monday, December 23, 1963 at 11:15 o'clock a.m. with Requiem Mass at Incarnate Word Church.  Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
