Emilie Genevieve Pitre:  Emilie Genevieve (Pitre) Lavoie:  The death of Emilie Genevieve Lavoie of Minto, NB occurred Thursday, April 02, 2009 at the W.G. Bishop Nursing Home at the age of 110.  Born in PEI, April 10, 1898 she was the daughter of the late Augustin and Evelyn (Buote) Pitre.  Last surviving member of her immediate family; survived by a son-in-law Leonard Goguen of Minto, NB; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Emilie was predeceased by her husband William Lavoie; sons, Arthur, Emile; daughter, Eugenie Goguen; grandson, Richard; great granddaughter, Luella Gormley; great grandson, Scott O’Quinn; sisters, Rose, Minnie, Kate, Lena and Mary; brothers, William, George, Albert and Robert.  Her parents Augustin Pitre born 1864 in Rustico PEI died in Rogersville NB and Marie Evelyn Buote married in Palmer Road Prince PEI Nov 22 1887.  Resting at the Minto Funeral Home with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm.  Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM, Monday, April 6, 2009 from Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Peter Stephen officiating.  Interment will take place in Saint Bridget’s Cemetery, Hardwood Ridge, NB.
