Obituary: Daily Gleaner (Fredericton, NB), Monday, 19 March 1990: Pitre, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, March 17, 1990, Mrs. Bertha Pitre, of North Minto, widow of William Pitre, age 79 years. Survived by three daughters (Anita) Mrs. Joseph Malanson of Sault Ste, Marie Ontario, (Alice) Mrs. John Auld of Minto, (Eileen) Mrs. Gerard Garneau of Montreal, two sons, Rene of Niagara Falls, Ontario and Angus of Oromocto, 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Fred and Edward of Quebec, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband William, three sons, seven brothers and one sister. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home. Funeral Tuesday, March 20 at 11:00 a.m. from the Holy Rosary Church, Minto, Rev. Samuel Diotte officiating. Burial will be at a later date at the Hardwood Ridge Catholic Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday 2-4 and 7-9. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart Fund.

Alice Mary Pitre: The death of Alice Auld of Minto, NB
occurred Sunday, January 5, 2020 at her home. Born in North Minto, NB she
was the daughter of the late William and Bertha (Melanson) Pitre.
Survived by a son, Angus John Auld (Sandra McEachren); daughters,
Joanne McEachen, Patricia Johnson (Rick), Lisa Auld (Brian Lowry), Karen Auld
(Joe Hall); 2 grandchildren, Amanda McEachen and Candice Hass (Kelvin);
sisters, Aline Garneau and Anita Martineau; several nieces, nephews and
cousins. In addition to her parents, Alice was predeceased by her husband
John Angus Auld; brothers, Rene, Eric, teenage brother, Angus,
infant brother, Edward and Angus Edward Pitre. Resting at Hogg
Funeral and Cremation Services, Minto, with visitation on Thursday from 4-7pm.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Friday, January 10, 2020 from Trinity United
Church. Interment will take place in Wallbridge Cemetery at a later date.

Angus Edward Pitre: With his children by his side the passing of Angus Edward Pitre of Minto, NB occurred Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the Chalmer’s Regional Hospital. Living in Minto in the house he was born in, he was the son of the late William and Bertha (Melanson) Pitre. Retired Stationary Engineer for 24 years with Department of National Defence, Secretary/Treasurer for the Grand Lake ATV club for many years. Established the Grand Lake Alpine Ski Club, and a Scout leader in his early years. In his retirement years he enjoyed woodworking, cutting firewood and loved spending time with his family and many drives with his beloved wife Anna. Survived by a son, Tim Pitre (Terran); daughters, Melanie Doucette (Nicole) and Nicole Bailey (Jerry); grandchildren, Josh, Matthew Pitre and William, Avery Bailey; sisters, Anita Melanson, Alice Auld and Aline Garneau; furry long-eared friend, Stewart; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Angus was predeceased by his wife Anna Margaret (Doucette) Pitre, May 2017; brothers, Rene, Angus and Eric Pitre; an infant brother, Edward. Funeral Service will take place 11:00AM Monday, July 31, 2017 from Minto Community Chapel. For those who wish, donations made to the Minto Community Youth Center would be appreciated by the family. Reception to follow at the Minto Senior Hall.
