Joseph Leon Pitre: The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Monday, 22 November 1982: Dalhousie - Leo Pitre, 79, of 134 Duke Street, died Saturday at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, Campbellton, after a brief illness. Born at Beresford, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pitre and had been a millwright with NBIP Ltd. until retirement. He is survived by his wife, the former Amanda St. Laurent; three daughters, Mrs. Edgar Comeau (Jeannette) and Mrs. Carl Mockler (Yvette), both of Dalhousie, and Mrs. Jurgen Thoma (Fernande) of New Haven, Ont.; four sons, Richard of Dalhousie, Raymond of Valdosta, Georgia, Fernand of Pine Falls, Man., and Alphonse Pitre of Lepreau; three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Reehl (Jeanne) of Danbury, Conn., Anna of Bathurst and Hectorine of Petit Rocher; a brother, Arthur Pitre of Bathurst; 20 grandchildren, and by six great-grandchildren. The body is at Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie. Mass will be celebrated 4 p.m. today from the St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Dalhousie. Interment will be in the Darlington Roman Catholic cemetery in the spring.
Marie Jeanne 'Jeannette' Pitre: The News Times (Danbury, CT), Thursday, 14 April 1983: Mrs. Arthur R. Reehl: Mrs. Jeannette M. Pitre Reehl, 77, of 52 Candlewood Trailer Park, Danbury, wife of Arthur R. Reehl, died at Danbury Hospital yesterday after a long illness. Mrs. Reehl was born in Beresford, New Brunswick, Canda, June 13, 1905. She attended schools in Canada and came to the United States about 60 years ago. Mrs. Reehl was a member of St. Gregory the Great Church and the Danbury chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Frederick Bourque of New Rochelle, N.Y.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Weidt of Brewster and Mrs. Doris Webster of Pelham, N.Y.; a brother and two sisters in Canada; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will take place this evening at 8 in the Cornell Memorial Home, Danbury, with Monsignor John Wigh of St. Gregory the Great Church officiating. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, New Rochelle, tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. Friends may call at the Cornell Memorial Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Marie Albina Pitre: Daily Gleaner (Fredericton, NB), Tuesday, 21 April 1936: Campbellton, April 20 - Mrs. Leslie Roy, aged 28, who passed away at her home in Atholville on Friday morning was buried yesterday in the Campbellton rural cemetery with the services at the home, Penticostal Church and grave being conducted by Rev. Mr. Montgomery of that congregation. The services were largely attended. Mrs. Roy is survived by her husband and four small children.
Joseph Elzerin 'Alcime' Pitre: The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Wednesday, 12 October 1966: Bathurst - The death of Alcime Joseph Pitre, 105 Raymond Ave., occurred at Hotel Dieu on Tuesday morning at the age of 55. Born in Beresford, he was the son of the late Albert and Catherine (Boudreau) Pitre. Mr. Pitre was a well-known mechanic in the Bathurst area. Besides his wife, the former Louise Doiron, he is survived by two sons, Hector of Montreal, and Edward of Toronto; four daughters, Mrs. Robin Bailey (Mona), Montreal, Mrs. Kenneth Robbins (Elvira), Beresford; Mrs. Vaughn Christopher (Delia), Campbellton; Mrs. Nelson Morrison (Jeanne), Bathurst; two brothers, Leo of Dalhousie and Arthur of Bathurst; three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Reelh (Jeanette), Mount Vernon, N.Y.; Mrs. Joseph Chamberlain (Anna), Bathurst and Mrs. Ralph Boucher (Hectorine), Petit Rocher; and nine grandchildren. The body is resting at Hogan's funeral home. Funeral arrangements will be announced.
Joseph Arthur Pitre: Daily Gleaner (Fredericton, NB), Friday, 5 September 1997: Arthur Albert (Art) Pitre of Quispamsis, formerly of Riverside Drive in Bathurst, died in the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 81, September 4, 1997. He was predeceased by his wife Constance (Connie Kenny) Pitre. He is survived by his daughter, Evelyn (Cookie) Frenette and her husband Roland of Quispamsis, three grandchildren, Cindy ( Mrs. Brent Moore) of Quispamsis, Patty (Mrs. Hugh Steele) of Sussex, and Jeffrey of Montreal, two great grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne and Jonathan Peter Moore, two sisters, Anna Hache and Hectorina Boucher both of Bathurst. Arthur was also predeceased by three brothers, Leo and John of Dalhousie, Onesime of Bathurst, sisters Jehanne Reehi of New York and Albina Roy of Atholville. He has been an active member of St. Marks Parish for 13 years. The body will be resting at Fundy Funeral Home, Westmorland Road. Visiting hours from 7- 9 p.m. on Friday September 5. Prayers by members of St. Marks Parish at 8:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint Marks Church, Pettinghill Road, Quispamsis at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6. Donations to the Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be welcomed. A memorial service will be held in Bathurst at the Holy Family Church on Tuesday, September 9. Interment will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery, in Bathurst.
Marie Hectorine Pitre: Elhatton Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB): Bathurst - Mrs. Hectorine Boucher, 96, wife of the late Ralph Boucher, formerly of East Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst. Born in Beresford, she was the daughter of the late Jean-Albert 'Abby' and Catherine (Boudreau) Pitre. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by one son, Raphael Boucher of Toronto, ON. Thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three children: Arthur, Albina, Evelyne, three sisters and seven brothers. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning (August 23, 2014) at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Donations in memory of Hectorine may be made to a charity of the donors' choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst.
