Obituary:  The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Monday, 22 November 1982:  Dalhousie - Leo Pitre, 79, of 134 Duke Street, died Saturday at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, Campbellton, after a brief illness.  Born at Beresford, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pitre and had been a millwright with NBIP Ltd. until retirement.  He is survived by his wife, the former Amanda St. Laurent; three daughters, Mrs. Edgar Comeau (Jeannette) and Mrs. Carl Mockler (Yvette), both of Dalhousie, and Mrs. Jurgen Thoma (Fernande) of New Haven, Ont.; four sons, Richard of Dalhousie, Raymond of Valdosta, Georgia, Fernand of Pine Falls, Man., and Alphonse Pitre of Lepreau; three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Reehl (Jeanne) of Danbury, Conn., Anna of Bathurst and Hectorine of Petit Rocher; a brother, Arthur Pitre of Bathurst; 20 grandchildren, and by six great-grandchildren.  The body is at Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.  Mass will be celebrated 4 p.m. today from the St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Dalhousie.  Interment will be in the Darlington Roman Catholic cemetery in the spring.

Obituary:  The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Monday, 5 November 1990:  Dalhousie - Mrs. Marie Amanda Pitre, 88, of Duke Street, Dalhousie, widow of Leo Pitre, died Thursday at Restigouche Senior Citizens Home, Dalhousie.  Born in Lac-aux-Salmon, Que., she was a daughter of the late Louis and Eugenie (Ouellet) St. Laurent.  She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jeannette Comeau and Mrs. Yvette Mockler, both of Dalhousie, and Mrs. Fernande Thoma of Newmarket, Ont.; four sons, Richard of Dalhousie, Raymond of Jacksonville, Fla., Fernand of Pine Falls, Man., and Alphonse of Lepreau.  Funeral mass was celebrated Sunday at 3 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Dalhousie.  Burial was in the parish cemetery.  Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Marie Jeanne Pitre:  Salon Funeraire Maher Funeral Home:  Jeannette Comeau (photo) May 29, 1926 - July 15, 2015: Jeannette Comeau (1926-2015).  At the Campbellton Regional Hospital, at the age of 89, passed away peacefully, Jeannette Comeau, wife of the late Edgar Comeau (1991).  Born in Beresford, she lived in Dalhousie and was the daughter of the late Leo & Amanda Pitre.  Jeannette leaves to mourn her four children, Robert (Candy) of Fredericton, Claire (Honore) of Edmundston, Yvette (Donald) of Charlo and Jean-Guy (Petru) of Montreal, as well as seven grandchildren, Sylvie, Daniel, Rene, Gilles, Jennie-Amanda, Luc and Marc and ten great-grandchildren.  She leaves to mourn as well one sister Fernande (Jurgen) of Toronto, three brothers; Raymond (Jennie) of Florida, Fernand (Mary) of Kentville, Alphonse (Donna) of Saint John, as well as a sister-in-law Gisele Pitre and brother-in-law Carl Mockler.  She was predeceased by two brothers Hector and Richard and two sisters Yvette and Juliette.  There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home but the family will meet family and friends one hour before time of funeral to be held at the Church of St. John Baptist Dalhousie, Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11:00 am.  In memory of Jeannette, a donation may be made to the organization of your choice.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.  Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

 

Marie Yvette Pitre:  The Tribune (Campbellton, NB), Friday, 18 December 2009:  (photo)  It is with great sadness that the family of Marie Yvette Mockler announces her passing on Thursday, December 10th, 2009 in Dalhousie Palliative Care at 82 years of age.  Born in White Plains, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leo Pitre and the late Amanda St. Laurent.  Yvette will be forever remembered by her husband and best friend Carl and their children, Michele and Carl Jr., her brothers and sisters, Raymond (Jennie), Fernand, Alphonse (Donna), Jeannette and Fernande (Jurgen) and her sister-in-law Gisele.  Yvette will also be missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.  Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by brothers Richard and Hector, and sister Violette.  A celebration of Yvette's life will be held on Saturday, December 19th at 11 am at St. John Bosco Parish in Dalhousie with Father William Arsenault officiating.  Donations in memory of Yvette can be made to the Palliative Care unit in Dalhousie or to the Canadian Cancer Society.  Arrangements in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.
