- 26 January 1808: Testament of Nicolas Haite: "Because of the care which Jacques Leche afforded him for nearly 12 years while Haite lived with him, Leche was bequeathed $300, $50 to his wife because of her kindness to him, especially when he was sick, a small chest to Genevieve and his tester bed to Marie Therese.”

- #9: Jacques Leische claimed a tract of land, east bank of the Mississippi, on the German Coast, 5 arpents in front, and 40 in depth; bounded upstream by Francisco Leische, and downstream by Miguel Leische. This land was surveyed by Don Carlos Trudeau, in 1785, for him and he inhabited and cultivated from then until on and after the 20th December, 1803. Confirmed.
