Joseph Granger was born Abt. 1696 at Grand Pre, Acadia, and died Bef. 30 June 1760.
First wife Anne Richard was born Abt. 1699 in Les Mines, Acadia, and died Bet. 1742–1750. They were married 16 January 1719 at Grand Pre, Acadia.

- 1752 Ile St. Jean census, Grand Anse: Estienne Melançon, ploughman, native of l'Acadie, aged 30 years, he has been in the country two years. Married to Françoise Grangerre, native of l'Acadie, aged 24 years. They have one son and two daughters: Joseph Melançon, aged 4 years; LaBlanche, aged 2 years; Elizabeth, aged 4 months. Paul Granger, aged 30 years, brother. Margueritte, aged 13 years, sister. They have in live stock, two oxen, three ewes, two heifers, two calves, and five pigs. The land upon which they are settled is situated as in the preceding cases. It was given to them verbally by Monsieur de Bonnaventure. On it, they have made a clearing for the sowing of six bushels of wheat.
- On 28 May 1766, Etienne, wife Francoise, Joseph, Marie, Elizabeth, Genevieve, Marguerite Francoise and Marie Josephe Lucie arrived St. Malo from Boulogne on the Brigantine Le Hazard. They lived in St. Servan 1766-1770, and in Pleudihen 1771-1772.

- In 1758/9 the family was transported to Boulogne sur Mer, France. On 28 May 1766, Alexandre, Elisabeth, children Alexis Mathurin, Jean Baptiste Alexandre and Elisabeth arrived at St. Malo from Boulogne on the Brigantine Le Hazard. They lived in St. Servan 1766-1772.

- 3rd husband Simon Landry, Marguerite Gautrot, his wife, Jean Baptiste Landry, their son; Olivier Leroy; Charles Granger and Joseph Granger, sons of Marguerite Gautrot from previous marriages, disembarked at St. Malo from England on 22 May 1763 from the ship L’Ambition. They resided in St. Servan 1763-1772.
- 1785: Simon Landry 50 sailor, and wife Marguerite Gautrot 59 arrived in Louisiana on Le Saint Remi.
