- 1721: Johann George arrived in Louisiana aboard either the St. Andre, Ladurance or Portefaix. He settled on the German Coast. The village, Hoffen, was about 25 miles above N.O. on the right bank of the Miss. R. (about 4 miles below Edgard).
- 12/13 November 1724 Census of German Villages on river above N.O.: Jean Georges Trousler, age 26, Native of Listamberg in Alsace. Roman Catholic. Mason. Married. 2 1/2 arpents cleared since beginning of the year when he left the village due to flooding. Harvested about 6-7 quarts of rice. Illness prevented his doing better. He was absent and wife sick when a neighbor who came to cook at his fireplace attached to his house accidentally set fire to it. He lost his house and the past year's harvest. Very good worker.
- 1 July 1727 Census: Geirg Trocher and wife at the German villages.
- 1731 Census: wife, 2 children, 2 Negroes, one cow. A later census shows 9 arpents cleared. Landowners after 1731 - 9 arpents by possession, west bank ascending.
- 17 October 1759: George Troutsler transferred two arpents of land to son-in-law Pierre Matherin Savant, on condition that Savant work the land during the life of Troutsler, with no power to sell it, and in event of the death of Troutsler, Savant must account to the succession for the value of the land and receive equally with the other children.
