- Leonard, Cadet: Discharged 30 September 1769.  Name appears on roll of soldiers dated 1 January 1763.

- "Marriage Contracts:  April 13, 1766  Before me, the Royal Notary of the Province of Louisiana and a resident of New Orleans, appeared Jean Baptiste Leonard, native and resident of New Orleans, son of Jean Bapotiste Leonard and of Anne Coudret, his father and mother, of the first part with Demoiselle Lucie Borel, a resident of this City, and a native of Brussels, daughter of Pierre Borel, also a resident, and of the deceased Elizabeth Tridon, her father and mother, of the other part.  A promise this marriage to be solemnized in the Holy Roman Apostolic Catholic Church.  Stipulations made as to community rights, individual debts contracted prior to the marriage.  The dowry of the future bride to be 2,000 livres in notes of the Colony.  The future groom to settle 200 livres in currency on his future bride, she is to enjoy usufruct of said amount and ownership to remain in said future husband and in his descendants, for which usufruct said future bride gives the usual mortgage."  Signing - Laurent Beaupre, Beaurel, B.
