Wife Mary Manners was born Abt. 1720, and died 14 September 1774 at Alsop-en-le-Dale, Derbyshire.  They were married 11 June 1750 in St. Werbergh, Derby, Derbyshire.

1- George Smith  b: Abt. 1753

 

2- Samuel Smith  b: Abt. 14 December 1755 at Alsop-en-le-Dale, Derbyshire (baptism: 14 December 1755 Alsop-en-le-Dale)

 

3- John Smith  b: 3 December 1757 at Alsop-en-le-Dale Manor, Derbyshire, England (baptism: 4 December 1757 Alsop-en-le-Dale), and died 20 May 1836 in Brampton, Derbyshire.  Burial was 24 May 1836 at the Parish Church, Brampton.

            +Ann Brittlebank  b: 22 July 1761 in Winster, Derbyshire, England (baptism: 10 September 1761, Winster, Derbyshire), and died 14 July 1823 in Brampton, Derbyshire.  Burial was 17 July 1823 at the Parish Church, Brampton.  They were married 3 May 1779 in Alstonefield, Staffordshire.

           

4- William Smith  b: Abt. 1759.  Went to sea, never heard from again.

           

5- Mary Smith  b: Abt. 7 January 1761 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire (baptism: 7 January 1761 Chesterfield); d: 4 April 1843  Haddon Grove, Derbyshire

          +Samuel Wildgoose  b: 18 April 1762 in Over Haddon, near Bakewell, Derbyshire; m: 27 November 1786  St. Mary & All Saints Church, Chesterfield, Derbyshire; d: 15 January 1843  Haddon Grove, Derbyshire.
