Monday, 17 February 2003: Inez Pitre Logarbo, 84, a native of
Lafourche Parish and resident of Gramercy, died Feb. 6. She was the wife
of the late John Logarbo Sr., and mother of Shirley Oubre, Mary
Waguespack, Marie Webre, Joseph and Ray Logarbo, and the late John Logarbo Jr.
She was also the daughter of the late Willie and Josephine Thibodeaux
Pitre, and sister of Anna Gautreaux and Adam Pitre. She is
preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers. She is also survived by
16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services are Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with
interment at the church cemetery. Visitation is Sunday, 6-10 p.m. and
Monday at 8 a.m.

Adam Willie Pitre: The New Orleans Advocate (LA), Friday, 28 June 2024: Adam (Pete) Willie Pitre of LaPlace, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024, at the age of 91. Pete was married for 62 years to the love of his life, the late Theresa Rodi Pitre. They shared two children, Curt (Denise) and the late Michael. The youngest of 11 children, Pete was born in Cutoff to Willie and Josephine (Thibodeaux) Pitre. The family moved to LaPlace shortly after Pete's birth. He is preceded in death by his siblings Agnes Oubre, Argentine Bruce, Beatrice Danos, Annie Guidroz, Inez Cortez Lagarbo, Anna Prestenback, Edwin, Helen Boudreaux, Cleveland (Lucky), and Theresa. Pete retired from Shell Oil in Norco in 1991. He was a hard worker who took odd jobs to help support his family, including brick making, okra picking, and working at the Godchaux sugar refinery during the grinding season. He grew vegetables in his garden, made wood crafts in his workshop, made muscadine wine, enjoyed Cajun music and dancing, and was a great coonass storyteller. Pete is also survived by numerous godchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members. Pete's family extends a special thanks to Metropolitan Dialysis Center and Eagan Home Health Care for the excellent care given to Pete. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation and Funeral Mass at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. Interment at St John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace, LA.
