Obituary: The Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Wednesday, 15 October 2003: Darline "Dolly" Pitre, a homemaker, died Monday of emphysema at her home. She was 73. Mrs. Pitre was born in Elk City, Okla., and lived in Norco for the past 43 years. Survivors include three sons, E. J., Larry "C.C. Ryder" and Cleve Jerry "Hot Rod" Pitre Sr.; a daughter, Linda Harper; three brothers, Bud, Bill and Frank Maples; three sisters, Opal Ward, Ima Lou Thompson and Ima Gene Elkins; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco. Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday at 8 a.m. Burial will be in St. Charles Boromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.
