Notes for Agnes Bernard:

Obituary:  Fitchberg Sentinel, Wednesday, 13 April 1927:  Mrs. Agnes (Bernard) Pitre, of 265 West street, died early yesterday in her home after an illness of six months.  She would have been 82 years old today.  Born in Prince Edward Island, Mrs. Pitre was the daughter of Arthamas and Domithilde (Poirier) Bernard.  She came to Gardner 22 years ago and was a member of the Holy Rosary church.  She was also active in the Ste. Anne sodality.  She leaves four children, Mrs. Pierre Pitre, with whom she made her home here, Mrs. Sosine Bernard of Gardner, Joseph and Maxime Pitre in Prince Edward Island, also several grandchildren.  The funeral will be held at 10 o’clock tomorrow morning in Holy Rosary church with a high mass of requiem.  Burial will be in Notre Dame cemetery.

Marie Agnes Pitre:  Fitchburg Sentinel (MA), Saturday, 12 April 1947:  Gardner: - Mrs. Mary Pitre, 81, wife of Pierre Pitre, of 3 Coleman street, who died in the Henry Heywood Memorial hospital yesterday afternoon will be held from the Bourgeois Funeral Home at 110 Nichols street Monday morning.  A requiem high mass will be celebrated in the Holy Rosary church at 9.  Visiting hours at the funeral home will be from 2 to 5 and from 7 to 10 today and tomorrow.  Burial will be in Notre Dame cemetery.  Mrs. Pitre was born in Prince Edward island, the daughter of Pierre and Agnes Pitre and had lived in this city for nearly 50 years.  She was a past president of the St. Anne Sodality of the Holy Rosary church and a member of the Women’s auxiliary of Ovila Case post, VFW.  Survivors are her husband, two sons, Maxime and Arthur, a daughter, Mrs. Cecile Gagne, all of Gardner, seven grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Dominic Bernard of this city and a brother, Maxime, in Prince Edward island.

 

Domathilda Angelina Peters:  The Evening Gazette (Worcester, MA), Monday, 20 April 1964:  Gardner - Mrs. Domithilde A. (Pitre) Bernard, 93, of 28 Way St., died yesterday in her home.  She was the widow of Sozime Bernard.  She was born in St. Louis, Prince Edward Island, Canada.  Mrs. Bernard was a member of Holy Rosary Church, and was an honorary member and founder of the St. Anne Sodality of the church.  She leaves four sons, Beniot, Pierre and Arthur, all of Gardner, and Emmanuel of Winchendon; three daughters, Mrs. Albenie Arsenault of Westminster, Mrs. Bruno Des Roches of Gardner and Mrs. Leonard Burke of Leominster; 18 grandchildren, and 48 great-grandchildren.  The funeral will be held from the Lamoureux Funeral Home tomorrow with a Solemn High Mass at 9 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church.  Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.  Calling hours at the funeral home are 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

Marie Marguerite Peters:  Worcester Telegram (Worcester, MA), Saturday, 28 February 1920:  Gardner, Feb. 27 - Mrs. Marguerite (Pitre) Tremblay, aged 28 years, wife of Vincent Tremblay of 360 Lark street, died this morning at the Henry Heywood Memorial hospital of pneumonia.  She leaves beside her husband three small children.  The funeral will be Monday morning from the late home, with a high mass of requiem at the Holy Rosary church.  The body will be entombed in Notre Dame cemetery.
