Obituary: Charlottetown Guardian (Charlottetown, PEI), 22 May 1936: Peters - At Miscouche, Wednesday, May 20, 1936, Joseph Peters, age 62 years. Funeral Saturday morning at 9 o'clock from his late residence to St. John the Baptist Church.
- Charlottetown Guardian (Charlottetown, PEI), 30 May 1936: Laid to Rest - The funeral of the late Joseph Peters took place from his late residence in Miscouche on Saturday. Service was conducted at the church and grave by Rev. Dr. Monaghan. He spoke of the sterling character and other fine qualities of the deceased who was also a returned soldier and had enlisted with the 105th Battalion exactly 20 years ago. The large funeral which was conducted in military fashion attested to the respect and esteem with which the deceased was held by his fellow man. The Canadian Legion marched in a body marshalled by Patrick Martin. The school children also formed part of the procession. Honorary pall-bearers were as follows: B. W. Robinson, Ray Tanton, R. E. Ellis and Thomas Linkletter. Active pall-bearers: J. P. DesRoches, William DesRoches, Clifford Rogers, Arthur LeClair, Gus MacKinnon.

Obituary: Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Tuesday, 6 March 1951: Peters - At the Sacred Heart Home, Charlottetown, March 5th, Mrs. Josephine Peters in her 67th year. Remains were forwarded to the Compton Funeral Home where they will rest until Wednesday morning when the funeral will take place to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche, for Mass at nine o'clock. Interment church cemetery.
