- Detroit Free Press (Detroit, MI), Tuesday, 30 June 1936:  War Dividends Buy Peace for Five Husbands:  The soldiers' bonus is helping depopulate Alimony Row.  Five veterans Monday sadly parted with good shares of their war dividend to buy peace with their former wives....One of the oldest residents of Alimony Row to get out was Noah Peters, of 1259 LeMay Ave.  He went in last November for a year when he had accumulated a debt of $3,870 at the rate of $12 a week for the support of his three children.  He turned over to his former wife Jessie, of 7192 Julian St., $165 of a $300 bonus.

Richard Joseph Peters:  Tampa Bay Times (St. Petersburg, FL), Thursday, 4 November 1993:  Peters, Richard Joseph, 74, of Lutz and formerly of St. Petersburg, died Monday (Nov. 1, 1993) in Tampa.  Born in Detroit, he came here in 1952 and moved to Lutz in 1991.  He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II.  He was a Catholic and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6827, St. Petersburg.  Survivors include a son, Lawrence, Lutz; a daughter, Pamela Ann Meyer, Dunedin; and three grandchildren.  F.T. Blount Co., Lutz-Land O'Lakes Chapel.

Nola Terese Peters:  Nola T. Barlow, 74, of Goshen, died Friday, July 31, 2015, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis after an 11 week illness.  She was born February 3, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan to Noah and Beatrice (Galligan) Peters.  She married William Barlow in Buffalo, New York.  She is survived by two sons, Dale and Steve Barlow, both of Goshen; five grandchildren, Steven Jr., Dale, Jr., David, Michael and Rain Marie; four great-grandchildren and a brother, Noah Peters of Warren, Michigan.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son William Barlow, Jr.  Friends may call Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 9 a.m. until the 10:45 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Deacon Dave Elchert of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church will officiate.  Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
