Five veterans Monday sadly parted with good shares of their war dividend to buy peace with their former wives....One of the oldest residents of Alimony Row to get out was Noah Peters, of 1259 LeMay Ave. He went in last November for a year when he had accumulated a debt of $3,870 at the rate of $12 a week for the support of his three children. He turned over to his former wife Jessie, of 7192 Julian St., $165 of a $300 bonus.

She is survived by two sons, Dale and Steve Barlow, both of Goshen; five grandchildren, Steven Jr., Dale, Jr., David, Michael and Rain Marie; four great-grandchildren and a brother, Noah Peters of Warren, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son William Barlow, Jr. Friends may call Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 9 a.m. until the 10:45 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Deacon Dave Elchert of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
