Obituary: The body of Francis A. Peters was taken from Wachterhaser Funeral Home to William Sullivan & Sons Funeral Home, Royal Oak, where friends called after 1 p.m. Friday (Feb. 23) and where the funeral was Saturday at 11 a.m., the Rev. Constantine Trued officiating. Mr. Peters, 65, of 4024 Hazel Road, Lincoln, died Wednesday morning (Feb. 22) at Alpena Hospital. Born June 12, 1918 in Detroit, Mr. Peters served with the Army Air Corps during World War II and was employed by Michigan Consolidated Gas Co. in Detroit in the maintenance department from 1951 until retiring in February 1979. He and his wife, the former Virginia Monroe, moved to Lincoln in July 1979 from Clawson. She survives as does a son, Douglas; three grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard and James of Florida.
