Andre Pitre: The Lewiston Daily Sun (Lewiston, ME), Saturday, 28 August 1926: Skowhegan, Aug. 27 - Andrew Peters, 73, died at his home on North avenue, Thursday night, after an illness since March 1. He was born in Prince Edward Island, and came to this town about 40 years ago to make his home. For some time he was employed at the office of the Independent Reporter. He was obliged to enter the hospital at Portland for treatment a few months ago, but did not receive any relief, so returned home where he since has been failing fast. He attended the Catholic church. He is survived by his widow, nee Miss Mary Ann Ledger, one brother, Robert Peters, of Limerick; and the following children: Maxim Peters, Auburn; Mrs. Margaret Turcotte, Gardiner; Mrs. Ida Belliveau, Skowhegan; Samuel Peters and Andrew Peters of this town.
