Mary Irene Peters: Kitsap Sun (Bremerton, WA), Saturday, 11 January 1992: Irene Peters-Gallagher, 92, of Bremerton died Thursday at Resthaven Health Care Center. She was born Nov. 21, 1899, in Nelson, B.C., Canada and moved to Seattle in 1902. In 1923 she married Frank J. Gallagher and the couple moved to Los Angeles, Calif. Mrs. Peters-Gallagher was executive secretary at A. J. Lynch Co. in Los Angeles, retiring to Seattle in 1965. In 1988 she moved to Bremerton. She is survived by two brothers, Joseph Peters of Wenatchee, Chelan County and Paul Gallagher of Olympia, Thurston County; three sisters, Margaret Taylor of Olympia, Agnes Hurley of Belfair and Mary Emma Black of Everett, Snohomish County. A rite of Christian burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Cemetery in Seattle. Memorials may be made to the Association of Catholic Holy Childhood.

Joseph James Peters: Wenatchee World (WA), 28 August 1995: Wenatchee - Joseph James Peters, 94, a longtime resident of the Wenatchee Valley, died Saturday morning, Aug. 26, 1995, in Colonial Vista Convalescent Center. He was born Feb. 25, 1901, in Canada, to Lawrence and Mary (Boyle) Peters. He and his family moved to the United States in 1910, settling in the Seattle area. He grew and received his education in Seattle and moved to the Wenatchee Valley area as a young man. He married Ann Kotze on Aug. 17, 1925, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wenatchee. He was a foreman for a number of years in the fruit industry around Monitor. He also worked in Alaska in construction. He worked at Alcoa for several years as a pot room tool attendant. He retired from Alcoa in the mid-1960s. Mr. Peters was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, at the home; two sisters, Margaret Taylor, Olympia, and Agnes Hurley, Belfair; and several nieces and nephews, all of Wenatchee. He was preceded in death by three sisters. Arrangements are by Braun Funeral Home, Cashmere.

Margaret Mary Peters: The Olympian (Olympia, WA), Friday, 6 March 1998: (photo) Margaret Taylor, 94, a resident of Olympia for 10 years, died of natural causes Thursday, March 5, 1998, at Providence St. Peter Hospital, Olympia. She was born Aug. 30, 1903, in Seattle to Lawrence and Mary Elizabeth Peters. She married Warren 'Ed' Taylor on Aug. 3, 1925, in Immaculate Church, Seattle. Mrs. Taylor was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Association of Catholic Childhood. She lived most of her adult life in Tacoma and Seattle before moving to Olympia. She and her husband enjoyed dancing and won many dance contests. She also loved gardening, fishing and making blueberry buckle. Mrs. Taylor is survived by a son, George Taylor, Morrison, Colo.; a daughter, Virginia Christie, Sun Valley, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Olympia. The Rev. James Northrup will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul, Olympia, WA. Arrangements are by Mills & Mills Funeral Directors, Olympia.
