Obituary:  Ludington Daily News (MI), Thursday, 17 April 1975:  Roy J. Peters, 80, of Clinton, formerly of Ludington, died at 6:45 a.m. this morning at his home in Clinton after a five year illness.  He was born in Ludington June 27, 1894 and was married in Munising Aug. 18, 1917 to Mazie M. MacKenzie, who survives.  He has resided in Clinton for the past 25 years.  He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church of Clinton and was a retired farmer.  Surviving in addition to his wife are five daughters, Mrs. Donald (Helen) Trudell of Platsburg, N.Y., Mrs. Edgar (Rita) Schneider of Ludington, Miss Ruth Peters, at home, Mrs. Thomas (Carol) Jenks of Tucker, Ga. and Mrs. William (Deanna) Noah of Norwalk, Calif.; three sons, Robert and William of Clinton and Harold of Midwest City, Okla.; 30 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; one brother Frank of Ludington; and one sister, Mrs. Marie Miller of Muskegon.  He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Gideon Peters; one daughter, six brothers and one sister.  Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Clinton with the Rev. James Lee and the Rev. Leon Kennedy, the celebrants.  The Rosary will be recited at the Proctor Funeral Home in Clinton at 8 p.m. Friday.  Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Pere Marquette Cemetery with the Rev. Thomas Schiller officiating.  Alexander-Rye Funeral Home, Ludington, is in charge of local arrangements.

Obituary:  The Muskegon Chronicle (Muskegon, MI), Friday, 13 April 1962:  Mrs. Strandberg, Mason, Dies: Ludington - Mrs. Margaret Strandberg, 66, died today at the Mortenson Rest Home here.  She had been there since January.  She was born March 21, 1896, at Stearn's Siding and had been a Ludington resident 40 years.  Survivors include three sons, Frederick of Grand Rapids, Robert of Manistee, Carl of Detroit; two daughters, Mrs. Phillip Wolfe of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Frank Tavolacci of Ludington, 14 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Esther Peterson of Ludington.  Funeral services will take place at Butler-Plowe Funeral.

Marie Lucille Peters:  The Ludington Daily News (Ludington, MI), Thursday, 21 September 1939:  Mrs. Donald O. Trudell, Ludington, Route 1, passed away early this morning at Paulina Stearns hospital.  Mrs. Trudell, nee Marie Lucille Peters, was born in Munising on Aug. 15, 1919.  She had been a resident of Ludington for the past 13 years and was affiliated with St. Simon's Catholic church in this city.  Married on Aug. 14, 1937, to Donald Trudell, she is survived by her husband and by her infant daughter, Deanna Jean, one month of age.  Also surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Peters; three brothers, Robert, William and Harold Peters; and four sisters, Helen, Rita, Ruth and Carol Peters, all living at home in Riverton.  Services will be held at St. Simon's church at 9 o'clock Saturday morning.  The body will repose at Morrison funeral home until the time of the services.  Interment will be made at Pere Marquette cemetery.

Robert Leroy Peters:  The Daily Telegram (Adrian, MI), Sunday, 12 November 2017:  Clinton - Robert L. Peters, 96, of Clinton was called home to the Lord on Nov. 7, 2017, surrounded by devoted family members.  He was born in Munising, Mich., on Sept. 6, 1921, to Roy and Mazie (McKenzie) Peters.  Bob's greatest love has always been his family which began with his marriage to Comila (Cam) J. Creselious on Feb. 2, 1943, in West Palm Beach, Fla.  Cam preceded him in death in 2009.  Bob served his country as a member of the U. S. Air Force for 20 years, including service overseas in England and France during World War II.  After retiring from the Air Force in 1959, he settled in Clinton with his family.  He worked at Double A Products in Manchester until his retirement in 1982.  He volunteered many hours in his community supporting St. Dominic Catholic Church and Meals on Wheels.  His family treasured their time with him and appreciates the values he instilled in them.  We will fondly remember his love of gardening, family gatherings and music, especially singalongs with Bob playing his guitar.  He enjoyed traveling with Cam cross-country in their RV during their retirement years.  Bob and Cam shared a passion for dancing throughout their marriage, and together they enjoyed 20 years as members of the Maple City Swingers.  Bob continued to dance into his 90s.  Now, Bob and Cam are dancing together once again.  Bob is survived by his nine children, Gary (Dora) Peters, Joe Peters, Pat Peters, Vince (Mert) Peters, Rita (Lyle) Drew, Teresa (Tom) Saltsman, David (Mitchell Mac Dermaid) Peters, Elaine (Martin) Schauder and Andy (Bekah) Peters, and was proud grandfather to 21 grandchildren, more than 30 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by five of his eight siblings: Rita Schneider, Bill (Jan) Peters, Harold (Margaret) Peters, Carol Neal and Deanna (Bill) Noah.  He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and sisters, Marie Trudell, Helen Trudell and Ruth Peters.  Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  The family would like to acknowledge the kindness and exemplary care provided for Bob by staff members of Cambrian Assisted Living and Great Lakes Caring hospice.  At his request, cremation has taken place.  The family will receive friends at the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017.  Another visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 20, prior to the funeral Mass at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Clinton.  The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 20, at St. Dominic.  The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Dominic Cemetery immediately following the funeral Mass with military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post #176 and the U. S. Air Force.  A meal to celebrate Bob's life will be served at St. Dominic Hall in downtown Clinton after the services.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Dominic Catholic Church or Great Lakes Caring.

Helen E. Peters:  Florida Today (FL), 11 November 2011:  Helen E. Trudell, 88, of Titusville, FL died at Parrish Medical Center.  She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Donald O. Trudell and son, Dennis Trudell.  Surviving are children, Peter (Kristie) of Troy, NY, Ann (John) Roche of Ballston Spa, NY, Julie (Eddie) Cornelious of Arlington, TN, Martin (Carol) of Titusville, Deanna (Bill) Noah of Murrieta, CA and Marilyn, wife of Dennis; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  She traveled throughout the U.S. and abroad with her husband, a military veteran of 37 years.  They settled in Plattsburgh, NY and retired to Titusville.  A memorial mass will be held at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Titusville on November 14, 2011.  Brevare Memorial Funeral Home is serving the family.

Ruth Peters:  Ruth A. Peters, 84, died Jan. 26 (2012).  She was born March 23, 1927 in Munising, to Roy J. and Mazie (MacKenzie) Peters.  When Ruth was six months old, the family moved to Ludington, and then moved to farm in Clinton in 1951.  Ruth enjoyed helping on the family farm especially caring for the animals that she loved so much.  In 1978 she returned to Ludington to make her home with her sister, Rita.  Ruth was a member of St. Simon's Catholic Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Marie Trudell and Helen Trudell; one sister-in-law, Comilla Peters; and two brothers-in-law, Edgar Schneider and Howard Neal.  She is survived by three sisters, Rita Schneider of Ludington, Carol Neal of Georgia and Deanna (Bill) Noah of California; three brothers, Robert Peters and William (Janice) Peters, both of Clinton, and Harold (Margarete) Peters of Oklahoma; 30 nieces and nephews, who lovingly called her Aunt "Ruthie," and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
