Obituary:  The Daily Telegram (Adrian, MI), Sunday, 12 November 2017:  Clinton - Robert L. Peters, 96, of Clinton was called home to the Lord on Nov. 7, 2017, surrounded by devoted family members.  He was born in Munising, Mich., on Sept. 6, 1921, to Roy and Mazie (McKenzie) Peters.  Bob's greatest love has always been his family which began with his marriage to Comila (Cam) J. Creselious on Feb. 2, 1943, in West Palm Beach, Fla.  Cam preceded him in death in 2009.  Bob served his country as a member of the U. S. Air Force for 20 years, including service overseas in England and France during World War II.  After retiring from the Air Force in 1959, he settled in Clinton with his family.  He worked at Double A Products in Manchester until his retirement in 1982.  He volunteered many hours in his community supporting St. Dominic Catholic Church and Meals on Wheels.  His family treasured their time with him and appreciates the values he instilled in them.  We will fondly remember his love of gardening, family gatherings and music, especially singalongs with Bob playing his guitar.  He enjoyed traveling with Cam cross-country in their RV during their retirement years.  Bob and Cam shared a passion for dancing throughout their marriage, and together they enjoyed 20 years as members of the Maple City Swingers.  Bob continued to dance into his 90s.  Now, Bob and Cam are dancing together once again.  Bob is survived by his nine children, Gary (Dora) Peters, Joe Peters, Pat Peters, Vince (Mert) Peters, Rita (Lyle) Drew, Teresa (Tom) Saltsman, David (Mitchell Mac Dermaid) Peters, Elaine (Martin) Schauder and Andy (Bekah) Peters, and was proud grandfather to 21 grandchildren, more than 30 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by five of his eight siblings: Rita Schneider, Bill (Jan) Peters, Harold (Margaret) Peters, Carol Neal and Deanna (Bill) Noah.  He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and sisters, Marie Trudell, Helen Trudell and Ruth Peters.  Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  The family would like to acknowledge the kindness and exemplary care provided for Bob by staff members of Cambrian Assisted Living and Great Lakes Caring hospice.  At his request, cremation has taken place.  The family will receive friends at the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017.  Another visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 20, prior to the funeral Mass at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Clinton.  The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 20, at St. Dominic.  The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Dominic Cemetery immediately following the funeral Mass with military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post #176 and the U. S. Air Force.  A meal to celebrate Bob's life will be served at St. Dominic Hall in downtown Clinton after the services.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Dominic Catholic Church or Great Lakes Caring.
