Obituary:  The Northern Light (NB), 2 September 1948:  Joseph L. Pitre of South Tetagouche, died on August 26, 1948 at the age of 75.  Married -1- Marianne Daigle (died 1911) had three sons Leonard, Ben and Albert and a daughter Mrs. Fred Gauthier all of Tetagouche-Sud; -2- Sara Jane Duguay (died 1945) had three daughters: Mrs. Adrien Hanry, Mrs. Eric Imhoff and Alfreda, all of South Tetagouche, two sons Albert of South Tetagouche and Alden of Chatham, one brother Thomas and three sisters Mrs. Jimmy Daigle and Mrs. Wm Lagace.  Funeral in the chapel of South Tetagouche. 

Obituaries for the children:

Alvin Pitre:  South Tetagouche - Alvin Pitre, 82, of South Tetagouche, died Thursday (October 9, 2003) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.  Born in South Tetagouche, he was the son of the late Larry and Sara Jane (Duguay) Pitre.  He served in World War II, with the Carleton York Regiment of the Royal Canadian Army, in Italy, Holland, France, Germany and was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.  He worked as a carpenter all of his life.  Survived by his wife, the former Dorina Malley.  3 Daughters: Donna Senecal of Florida, USA, Sharon Stevens of North Carolina, USA, Bonnie Frenette of Hamilton, ON, 1 Son: Reginald Pitre of Saskatchewan; 2 Sisters: Lucy Henry of South Tetagouche, Yvonne Imhoff of Ocala, Florida, USA.  8 Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  The body rested at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst.  Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday afternoon (October 11, 2003) at 1:30 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.  Burial was in the parish cemetery.  A Legion service was held at the Funeral Home on Saturday morning.

 

Yvonne Pitre:  Ocala Star-Banner (FL), Thursday, 10 August 2006:  Imhoff, Yvonne M., 77 Ocala - Yvonne M. Imhoff, 77 passed away on Tuesday, August 8th at Summerfield Suites.  Born in New Brunswick, Canada.  She relocated to Ocala in 1993 after retiring as a machine operator.  Yvonne was a very active Parishioner at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church where she also sang in the choir.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, the beach, shopping, playing cribbage, and spending as much time with her grandchildren.  She is survived by her son Joseph Victor Imhoff of Ocala; four daughters Gerri A. Imhoff - Peskir of Orchard Park, NY, Carmel Strom of Ocala, Suzanne Skawinski of Ocala, Marie Duhaime of Ocala; her sister Lucy Henry of Bathurst, New Brunswick, Canada; as well as by nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Joseph Imhoff.  A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 12th at Immaculate Heart of Mary.  Calling Hours have been arranged for Friday August 18th between the hours of 4-7 p.m. with a scripture wake service at 6 p.m. at the Roberts Funeral Home, East Chapel, Maricamp.
