Obituary:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB):  South Tetagouche - Alvin Pitre, 82, of South Tetagouche, died Thursday (October 9, 2003) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.  Born in South Tetagouche, he was the son of the late Larry and Sara Jane (Duguay) Pitre.  He served in World War II, with the Carleton York Regiment of the Royal Canadian Army, in Italy, Holland, France, Germany and was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.  He worked as a carpenter all of his life.  Survived by his wife, the former Dorina Malley.  3 Daughters: Donna Senecal of Florida, USA, Sharon Stevens of North Carolina, USA, Bonnie Frenette of Hamilton, ON, 1 Son: Reginald Pitre of Saskatchewan; 2 Sisters: Lucy Henry of South Tetagouche, Yvonne Imhoff of Ocla, Florida, USA.  8 Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  The body rested at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst.  Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday afternoon (October 11, 2003) at 1:30 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.  Burial was in the parish cemetery.  A Legion service was held at the Funeral Home on Saturday morning.

Obituary:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB):  South Tetagouche - Mrs. Dorina Pitre, 83, wife of the late Alvin Pitre, formerly South Tetagouche, passed away on Saturday (November 8, 2008) at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst.  Born in Chatham, NB, she was the daughter of the late Agapith and Mary (Chiasson) Malley.  She is survived by: 3 Daughters: Donna Senecal of Florida, USA, Sharon Stevens (Gary) of North Carolina, USA, Bonnie Frenette of Hamilton, ON, 1 Son: Reginald Pitre of Ontario, One sister: Marie Torchia (Joe) of Orange, Mass, USA; One brother : James Malley; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held on Monday afternoon (November 10, 2008) at 3:00 p.m. from Holy Family Cemetery, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home, Bathurst.
