Mary 'Nellie' Pitre:  The Boston Globe (Boston, MA), Sunday, 14 September 1952:  Day - In this city, Sept. 12, Ellen E. (Petrie), beloved wife of the late George E. Day and devoted mother of Mrs. Alice Miller, George F., Teresa, Albert J. and the late Harry E. Day.  Residence 113 Union Park st.  Reposing at the Samuel J. Sullivan Funeral Home, until Monday morning at 8:15.  Solemn Requiem High Mass at Cathedral of the Holy Cross at 9 o'clock.  Relatives and friends invited.  Visiting hours Saturday 7-10 p.m. and Sunday 2-5 and 7-10 p.m.
