Obituary:  The Standard Union (Brooklyn, NY), Sunday, 5 May 1918:  Joseph P. Peters died suddenly yesterday at his home, 126 Bergen street.  He was born at Prince Edward Island, Canada, forty-four years ago, and had been a resident of Brooklyn for twenty-eight years.  He is survived by a widow, Mary; one daughter, Elizabeth, and two sons, William and John.  He attended St. Paul's R.C. Church ---rt and Congress streets, where a solemn requiem mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 9 A.M.  Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery under direction of Thomas E. Crowe of 15 Emile street.

Obituary:  L'Impartial (PEI), Thursday, 19 May 1898:  At Salem, Mass., 7 May, after receiving the help of the church, Mrs. Joseph Pitre, nee Marie Rose Buote, daughter of Mr. Philias Buote, Little Tignish, after five days of illness, and age 24 years.  The deceased belonged to the following religious societies:  La societe du Chemin de la Croix, l'Union des Prieres, le Grand Rosaire Perpetuel, l'Apostolat de la priere, la Ligue du Coeur de Jesus.  Model of piety, she went to receive the top reward of her good works on earth.  Her mortal remains brought from Salem to Tignish, were buried Thursday morning in the cemetery of her native parish.  The bearers were: Jerome M. Buote, Joseph S. Gaudet, Sylvain Perry, Jean S. Gaudet, Joseph J. Pitre, Eugene Richard and Bruno Pitre.  The regrettably deceased leaves a spouse and a five-day-old child.  Our condolences to Mr. P. Buote and his family.
