Joseph Clarence Pitre: Houma Courier (LA), Thursday, 11 June 1981: Clarence (Caloon) Pitre, 81, died 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. today at Landry Funeral Home, Thibodaux, resuming 8 a.m. Friday and continuing until funeral time. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with religious services following at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Odette Traigle Prejeant Pitre; two step sons, Roland and Linsly Prejeant; one daughter, Mrs. Elma Pitre Champagne; one step daughter, Elsie Prejean; one sister, Mabel P. Bourg; one grandchild and one great-grandchild. Landry Funeral Home of Thibodaux is handling arrangements.
Mable Pitre: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), September 1991: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux for Mable Pitre Dugruise Bourg, 90, a native of Lafourche Crossing and resident of Thibodaux who died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday (7th). Visitation will be from 5:30-10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Thibodaux Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. She was the wife of John Bourg; mother of O.J. and Hensley Dugruise, Isabelle Vicknair and Veralbine Martinez. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirdel Dugruise; parents, Josephine Lirette and Morris Pitre; a brother, Clarence Pitre; and one grandchild. Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
