Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans), Sunday, 15 May 1949:  Pitre - In New Orleans, La., on Saturday, May 14, 1949, at 8:15 o'clock a.m., Lena Pitre, beloved daughter of the late Sylves Bergeron and Eva Bergeron; mother of Mrs. Easton Picou, Mrs. Dot Pitre, and Flandris Pitre, all of Houma, La., and Elsoyd Pitre of Gretna, La.  Aged 55 years.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services, which will take place from Chauvin funeral home, Houma, La., on Sunday, May 15, 1949, at 3 o'clock p.m., followed by religious services at St. Francis de Sales church, Houma, La.  Interment in Magnolia cemetery, Houma, La.

Obituary:  Houma Courier (LA), Friday, 3 June 1960:  Mrs. Elie Pitre, 63, died Tuesday at 5:45 p.m. at her 240 St. Michel street residence.  Mrs. Pitre, the former Theresa Malbrough, is survived by her husband, two stepsons, Ellwood and Flandris, both of Houma; and two stepdaughters, Mrs. Easton Picou and Mrs. J.C. Rhodes.  She also leaves five sisters, Mrs. Henry Larpentier, Mrs. Dalton Hebert, Oreline Malbrough and Elsie Malbrough of Houma and Mrs. Eddie Porche of Bayou Blue, and three brothers, Augustin, Henry and Armond all of Houma.  Funeral services were held Thursday from the residence of the deceased to Holy Rosary church with interment in Holy Rosary cemetery.  Chauvin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Bisso and Son are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial from the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Homes, Inc., 2100 West Bank Expressway, Harvey, La., on Saturday, October 31, 1987 at 11:00 o'clock a.m.  A parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church.  Interment West Lawn Cemetery. Eva Mary Pitre:  Houma Courier (LA), 30 August 2007:  Eva Mary Pitre Picou, 85, a native and resident of Houma, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007.  Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.  Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.  She is survived by two sons, Easton Joseph Picou Jr. of Chauvin and Alex Anthony Picou Sr. and wife, Theresa May Price Picou, of Raceland; two daughters, Karen Ann Picou Prejean and husband, David Prejean, of New Blaine, Alaska, and Janet Marie Picou Babin and husband, Vernon "Jim" Babin, of Houma; one sister, Doris Marie Pitre Rhodes of Houma; nine grandchildren, Julie P. Smith, Jerry Prejean, Stacey Bascle, Gregory Babin, Amanda B. Williams, Alex Picou Jr., Marcie P. Keller, Ashley P. Le and Heather P. Detillier; and 13 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Easton Joseph Picou Sr.; her parents, Elie Joseph Pitre and Lena Marie Bergeron Pitre; two brothers, Elsoyd Joseph Pitre and Flandris Anthony Pitre Sr.; two sisters-in-law, Mable Matherne Pitre and Leah M. Pitre; one brother-in-law, Joseph Callise Rhodes; her paternal grandparents, Frank Pitre and Marie Mary Dupre Pitre; her maternal grandparents, Sylvere "Bloom" Bergeron and Hortense Eva Bergeron; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alidore and Melina LeCompte Picou.  She was a homemaker and a member of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.  Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
