Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Saturday, 31 October 1987:  Mr. Elsoyd Anthony Pitre of Gretna, La., on Thursday, October 29, 1987 at 10:20 o'clock a.m.  Beloved husband of the late Mabel Matherne Pitre.  Father of Diane Redd, Shirley Cambre, Jamie Dubois and Mark Pitre and the late Wayne Pitre.  Son of the late Lena Bergeron and Elie Pitre.  Brother of Eva Picou, Doris Rhodes and the late Flandris Pitre.  Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  Age 73 years.  A native of Houma, La., and a resident of Gretna, La. for the past 48 years.  Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of E.N. Bisso and Son are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial from the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Homes, Inc., 2100 West Bank Expressway, Harvey, La., on Saturday, October 31, 1987 at 11:00 o'clock a.m.  A parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church.  Interment West Lawn Cemetery. Parlors will be open on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.

Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), 18 January 1987:  Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mothe Funeral Home, Harvey, for Mabel Pitre, 73, a native of Raceland and a resident of Gretna who died Sunday (18th) at 5:05 a.m.  Visitation is scheduled from 6-11 p.m. today at the funeral home, with interment in Westlawn Park.  She was the wife of Elsoyd Pitre; mother of Diana Redd, Shirley Cambre, Jamie Dubois and Mark Pitre; and sister of Essie Cole and Nettie Gaddis.  She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Pitre; her parents, Molodia Sapia and Pierre Matherne; two sisters, Pearl Reed Bergeron and Ivy Matherne; and three brothers, Nelson, Eldon and Roy Matherne.

Shirley Victoria Pitre:  The Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Sunday, 2 September 2012:  Shirley Pitre Cambre passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2012.  Native of Houma and resident of River Ridge, age 75 years.  Beloved wife of Wayne Joseph Cambre.  Loving mother of Steven Cambre (Reno), Jerry Cambre (Opal), Terry Cambre and Martin Cambre (Susan).  Devoted grandmother of Ryan, Tiffany, Jay, Krisla and Tara and loving great-grandmother of Aryn, Jade and Jena.  Devoted sister of Mark Pitre (Judy), Jamie DuBois and Diana Redd and loving sister-in-law of Pat James.  She is predeceased by her parents, the late Elsoyd and Mable Pitre and her brother, the late Wayne Pitre.  Shirley loved gardening, especially her orchids and roses, and was revered for the fantastic food that came from her kitchen.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at the Kenner Funeral Home of L. A. Muhleisen & Son, on Monday, September 3, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation beginning at 9:00 A.M.

Cambre, Mrs. James Dubois and Mark Pitre.  Age 35 years.  A native of Raceland, La. and a resident of Harvey and Waggaman, La. for the past 34 years.  Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Avondale Shipyards Corporation, American Finance Company and Bisso Towing Company are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from the Mothe Funeral Homes Inc. in Harvey, La. on Monday, September 16, 1974 at 11:00 o'clock will be celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church.  Interment in West Lawn Memorial Park.  Parlors will be open on Sunday, September 15, 1974 from 6:00 o'clock p.m. until midnight.
