Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), 7 February 1982:  Mrs. Anicia Marguerite Hebert Pitre, 81, died 6:57 p.m., Friday (5th).  Visitation will continue today at Chauvin Funeral Home until funeral time.  A Rosary was said, Saturday by the Knights of Columbus Bayou Blue Council 7167.  A Rosary will be said 8 p.m., tonight at the funeral home.  The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.  Survivors include four sons, Aaron, Jules, Albert and Harold Pitre all of Houma; five daughters, Mrs. John (Libby) Burch, Mrs. Albert (Elsie Mae) Porche, Mrs. Hayes (Aline) Bonvillain Jr., Mrs. Nelson (Jeannette) Buquet and Mrs. Louby (Jennie) Bergeron; 29 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard James Pitre; her parents, Clementine Trosclair and Chlopa Hebert; three brothers, Herbert (Bill), Alphonse and Sidney Hebert; one half-brother, Paul Scott; two sisters, Mrs. Andrew LeBlanc and Mrs. Regina Garibaldi; and seven grandchildren.  Chauvin Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Pitre of Houma; one sister, Elsie M. Porche of Houma; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Burch; her parents, Bernard and Anecia Hebert Pitre; three sisters, Aline M. Bonvillain, Jeanette M. Olivier and Jennie R. Bergeron.  She was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a homemaker.

Elsie May Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), June 2000:  A memorial service will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Annunziata Catholic Church in Houma for Elsie Porche, 79, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, who died at 6:30 a.m. June 17, 2000.  Visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. until service time at the church.  She will be cremated.  She was the mother of Elizabeth Deroche and sister of Albert, Aaron and Harold Pitre. She is also survived by one granddaughter.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Porche; parents, Necia and Bernard Pitre; brother, Jules Pitre; and sisters, Libby Burch, Alene Bonvillain, Jeanette Buquet and Jenny Bergeron.  She was Catholic.  She was a housewife.  Samart Funeral Home and Crematorium of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.

Joseph Aaron Pitre:  Houma Courier (LA), Monday, 7 August 2000:  Joseph Aaron " Mayor of Cocodrie" Pitre, 75, a native of Grand Caillou and a resident of Cocodrie for 25 years, died at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000.  Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home.  The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  A prayer service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in Magnolia Cemetery.  He is survived by his wife, Odette LeFort Pitre of Cocodrie; one daughter, Mrs. Rick (Monica) Babbitt of Cocodrie; and two brothers, Harold and Albert Pitre, both of Houma.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Enesia Hebert Pitre; four infant sons, names not provided; one brother, Jules Pitre; five sisters, Libby Burch, Elsie Mae Porche, Aline Bonvillain, Jeanette Buquet and Jennie Bergeron; and one grandson, Nazareth Paul Singletary.  He was the former manager of the New Orleans Big Game Fishing Club, a welder, a trawler and a member of the seismograph crew for Standard Oil and Gas.  He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3700 and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  He was born on a boat and passed away on a boat.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Veterans Memorial on La. 311, 207 Funderburk Ave., Houma, LA 70360.  Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jules Anthony Pitre:  Houma Courier (LA):  Jules Anthony Pitre Sr., 71, a native and resident of Houma, died at 12:26 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 1998.  Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Louis Cemetery.  He is survived by two sons, Jules A. Pitre Jr. and David J. Pitre Sr., both of Houma; two daughters, Mrs. Terry (Glenna) DeRoche Sr. and Mrs Donald (Delia) Babin Jr., both of Houma; three brothers, Albert and Harold Pitre, both of Houma, and Aaron J. Pitre of Cocodrie; one sister, Elsie Mae Porche of Houma; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Duet Pitre; his parents, Bernard and Anesia Hebert Pitre; one daughter, Edne Pitre; four sisters, Jenny Bergeron, Jeannette Buquet, Aline Bonvillian and Libby Burche; and one granddaughter, Mary Pitre.  He was a retired maintenance employee for Texaco, Inc., a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus St. Louis Bayou Blue Council No. 7657, and a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.

Albert Pierre Pitre:  Albert Pierre "T-Neg" Pitre, 79, a native and resident of Houma, died at 12:58 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008.  Visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home.  Religious service in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.  He is survived by his wife, Zula LeCompte Pitre, two sons, Steven Pitre and Gary Pitre; two daughters, Tena Pitre and Mary Elizabeth Pitre; one daughter-in-law, Pamela Pitre, one brother, Harold Pitre, 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard James Pitre and Anecia Hebert Pitre; one son, Bernard James Pitre; one grandson, Brandon Paul Pitre; two brothers, Aaron Pitre and Julius Pitre and five sisters, Eileen Ellender, Libby Birch, Jeannette Buquet, Jenny Bergeron and Elsie Mae Porche.  He was a self-employed home builder.  Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
 

Harold Anthony Pitre:  Friday, 5 December 2008 - Harold 'Black' Anthony Pitre, 77, a native of Terrebonne, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died at 10:21 p.m. Wednesday, December 3.  He is survived by his wife, Virginia Trahan Pitre of Houma; two sons, Wayne Pitre and wife Gaynell of Montegut, La., and Christopher John Pitre and wife Jeannie of Houma; one daughter, Hollie Eschete and husband Billy Sr. of Montegut; grandchildren, Joshua Pitre, Kelly Pitre, Rusty Pitre, Billy 'B.J.' Eschete Jr., Tiffany Pitre, Katie Eschete, Dustin Pitre and Kenneth Pitre; and five great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Pitre and Anicia Hebert Pitre; three brothers, Jules Pitre, Aaron Pitre and Albert Pitre; and five sisters, Libby Burch, Ilene Bonvillain, Elsie Mae Porche, Janette Buquet, Jennie Bergeron.  He was a self-employed carpenter and fisherman.  He was a U.S. Marine veteran who served during the Korean War.  He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9608, a past commander of the Marine Corps League and a member of the East Park Recreation and Volunteer Fire Department.  He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, December 6, at Chauvin Funeral Home.  Mass will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial at the church cemetery.  Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
