Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), 14 February 1948 - At residence on Thursday, February 12, 1948, at 5:40 o'clock p.m., Julien Napoleon Pitre, beloved husband of the late Clarence Cretini and father of Victor Pitre and Mrs. Sylvest Danos, aged 74 years; survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral, which will take place from the late residence, Cut Off, La., on Saturday, February 14, 1948, at 9:30 o'clock a.m.  Services at Sacred Heart Catholic church, Cut Off, La.  Interment in Sacred Heart Catholic cemetery.  Falgout Funeral Home, Raceland, La., in charge.

Severin Wilson Pitre:  Abilene Reporter News (Abilene, TX), Saturday, 11 December 1976:  S. W. (Frenchie) Petre, 78, of 2449 Campus Court died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday at Hendrick Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church.  The Rev. Dalton Fisher will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Ronnie Newton.  Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.  Born Feb. 10, 1898, in Raceland, La., he married May Clark May 11, 1921 in Dundee.  They moved to Abilene from Wichita Falls in 1964.  He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.  He was an independent oil operator.  Survivors include his wife; a son, Noel Wilson Petre of Route 6; two grandchildren, Noel W. Petre Jr. and Jorgette Petre, both of Route 6; and three great-grandchildren.  The family requests that any memorials be made to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center or to the American Heart Assn.

Victor Joseph Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA):  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Victor Joseph Pitre, 82, a native of Cheniere and resident of Cut Off, who died at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 12 (1994).  Visitation will be 9 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at the church.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  He was the husband of Dorina Vegas Pitre; father of Diana Pitre Dufrene; stepbrother of Ave Danos.  He is also survived by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Julian Appolone and Clemence Cretini Pitre.  He was a 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 3150 and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
