Obituary: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA): A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Victor Joseph Pitre, 82, a native of Cheniere and resident of Cut Off, who died at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 12 (1994). Visitation will be 9 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He was the husband of Dorina Vegas Pitre; father of Diana Pitre Dufrene; stepbrother of Ave Danos. He is also survived by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julian Appolone and Clemence Cretini Pitre. He was a 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 3150 and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.

Obituary: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Dorida Vegas Pitre, 87, a native and resident of Cut Off, who died at 3:47 a.m. March 18, 2000. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until funeral time at the church. Burial will be at the church cemetery. She was the mother of Diana "Lady Di" Dufrene; sister of Wilfred "Co Co", Edway and Earl Vegas, Ruby Adams, Marian and Beatrice Charpentier. She is also survived by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor J. Pitre; parents, Antoine and Elidia Guidry Vegas; brothers, Raphael, Alfred and Joseph Vegas; and sisters, Madeline Duet and Edwina Ginter. She was Catholic and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and Ladies Altar Society. Samart Funeral Home and Crematorium Inc. of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.

(Meagan), Amanda G. Rousse (Arthur 'Boyfriend'), Ryan Dufrene, Shaylynn Dufrene;
great-grandchildren, Abigail Guidry, Aria Rousse; partner in crime,
Linda 'Bum' Pitre. She was preceded in death by her parents,

She was a Girl Scout leader and TOPS leader. She was a member of the Red
